Okay, so if you’re planning a Disney World trip in 2025, well, you’ve got a LOT to look forward to, and that includes a lot of NEW things.

If you haven’t been to Disney World in the past year or so, you’ve got some new restaurants to check out (like The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs). Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom is still also pretty new. We’ve seen new shops open up in Disney Springs recently, as well. However, a LOT of NEW things are opening — and have opened — for the FIRST TIME EVER in Disney World in 2025.

NEWS: Major Disney World Hotel Refurbishment DELAYED Until 2025

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter has been getting a bit of a refresh recently, and these changes have been a long time coming.

The room refurbishments currently going on at this hotel have been happening since May, and we’ve slowly seen the new rooms open back up to guests (you can check out a full room tour here!). But, just when we thought this project was close to being completed, Disney goes and delays the completion.

UPDATE On Universal’s New Theme Park in the UK

Universal has been making great progress on their new Epic Universe theme park which is expected to open in Orlando in 2025. Lots of rides have been testing and we have gotten LOTS of details about what to expect in each of the themed lands.

NEWS: ‘Cars’ Expansion to Replace Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom

It has been a HUGE weekend of announcements and we got a sneak peek at so many new attractions that will be coming to Disney World in the next few years during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

We learned more about Pueblo Esperanza which will be replacing DinoLand U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as well as found out about a Monsters, Inc. land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom also got some big news with BOTH a Villains land and a Cars land announced for the park. There have been some discussions on where these new lands will be going in Magic Kingdom, and we just got some confirmation on where they will be located.
