I Just Dined at One of Disney’s Cheapest Character Dining Experiences — Here’s What I Loved About It

Okay, I absolutely love Disney character dining experiences, and I try to book at least one character breakfast during EVERY SINGLE TRIP.

It doesn’t matter if I’m in Disney World or Disneyland, I’m probably eating breakfast with characters at some point during the trip. Now, I usually book a breakfast for my last day, and when I’m in Disneyland, I usually just book the breakfast at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort. However, during a recent trip, I decided to buck the trend and chose to do a breakfast INSIDE Disneyland at Plaza Inn — and y’all, that was the best Disney character dining experience I’ve ever had.

We finally got LOADS of new details about the Cars expansion coming to Frontierland, including that it will be called Piston Peak, and that it will introduce some new characters into the Cars universe (now if only Disney would drop some hints about what kind of FOOD this expansion will have — we have questions!). Anyway, speaking of food, we’ve been monitoring menu changes at Disney World restaurants all week, so let’s take a look at what’s been updated.

Brightline Announces NEW Partnership with JetBlue To Make Traveling To Florida Even EASIER

We’ve talked a lot about how much of a game-changer the Brightline train is, especially if traveling to and from Orlando.

In fact, Brightline has become so popular that the company is expanding, not just in Florida, but also to the West Coast. Brightline’s got even bigger plans, though, beyond expansion. The rail company just recently announced a partnership with JetBlue that will allow you to book one trip for both train and air with easy transfers via the Orlando International Airport.

OPENING TIMELINE ANNOUNCED for the NEW Muppets Coaster in Disney World

So we’ve been a big ball of emotions this week because we had to say goodbye to Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which closed to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land.

We wished farewell to Mama Melrose’s in May, and then we had to watch Muppet*Vision 3D one last time and see the last person served at PizzeRizzo. Now, the construction walls are up, and the Muppets are gone. The good news, though, is that they’re not gone forever; they’ll be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Now, we have an idea of when that might happen.

NEWS: A Popular Universal Orlando Attraction Is Closing for Refurbishment

If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been spending a lot of time at Universal Orlando lately (but, really, who hasn’t?).

The opening of Epic Universe has given us five new lands to obsess over, after all, but that doesn’t mean we’re not keeping an eye on other Universal Orlando parks, too. So you can imagine our surprise when we discovered that a classic Universal Orlando ride, one beloved by many, will be temporarily closing soon. Yes, if you want to go on a grand adventure with the E.T. Adventure Ride, you’ll need to visit Universal Studios Florida TODAY (June 8th) because the ride will be closing for refurbishment tomorrow.

Well, it’s the end of an era, and we’re kinda sad about it.

We knew this day was coming, but now that it’s here, it’s even sadder. So today is the day is the last day of Muppet*Vision 3D because the entirety of Muppets Courtyard will be closing tomorrow (June 8th) so that a new Monsters, Inc. land can be constructed in its space. So we’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios LIVE, paying our respects to this classic attraction, saying goodbye, and seeing how everyone else is doing the same.
