Yes, we’ve been busy at Universal Kids Resort this week, but we’ve also been in Disney World learning about a new lounge, shop, and restaurant coming to Disney’s BoardWalk, as well as discovered a new favorite meal in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

We also noticed some changes happening at Disney World restaurants this week, so we’re going to give you all the latest updates.
While there wasn’t much news from inside the actual Disney World parks this past week, we did get TONS of news that will soon affect Disney Springs and Disney’s BoardWalk.

For months now, there have been empty buildings over at the BoardWalk, and while there have been permits filed, there has been no official announcement as to what is on the way. Until now, that is, because this past week, Disney revealed exactly what’s coming to the BoardWalk, and we also got some exciting updates about Disney Springs projects in the works!

Meet the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort! They have three rooms, and with them being elevated, it can feel like a special hideaway and perfect for large groups who want to spend time relaxing at the end of the day. They’ve been going under major refurbishments, and while we got a sneak peek on social media, Disney has officially shared the inside photos of the reimagined Treehouse Villas!
We often find that many of Disney World’s hotel pool bars can be underrated. They’re also not the first place you think of when you plan to dine at a Disney World hotel, but just like everywhere else in Disney World, they’re not all made equally.

There’s a new drink and a new breakfast wrap that could make it a fantastic early morning stop before heading into the parks, or to fuel yourself for a pool day. Is it worth it, though? A trash can change happened this week!
We love hearing about all the new projects and exciting attractions coming to Disney World, don’t get us wrong, but for the past few weeks, it felt like everything hit at once. Now, though, some of the biggest attractions have opened — The Walt Disney Studios and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom, Bluey’s Wild World in Disney’s Animal Kingdom — the list goes on. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still smaller changes happening around the parks each day, and there are ABSOLUTELY still closures you need to know about if you’re heading into the parks this week.
Disney World hotel pricing has a way of humbling even the most optimistic vacation planner. One minute you’re casually checking rates, and the next you’re wondering if a room with two queen beds and a themed shower curtain should require a small ceremony with your credit card.
But every once in a while, Disney drops a deal that makes a few hotels worth another look. And right now, eligible Disney+ Perks members can find special summer 2026 room rates at select Disney World hotels, with prices starting at $99 per night.
Disney World dropped some BIG news about the new Monstropolis land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the BIGGEST news was about Harryhausen’s restaurant coming to the new area!

Yes, we’re always going to get excited about food news, even when it’s just about a menu change at a Disney World restaurant. Speaking of which, let’s take a look at all the menu changes we spotted this week.
This week was certainly a big one for Disneyland Resort, with tons of announcements around Oogie Boogie Bash, which kinda stuck Disney World in the backseat. Though after weeks in a row of TONS of news and changes, we think it deserves a little break.

That’s not to say that things didn’t still HAPPEN in Disney World, because they absolutely did. Not only did one construction project FINALLY finish up after months, but we also got new sneak peeks of TWO of the new lands on their way!
It’s been a year of construction at Disney World, and we’re not talking just about the four parks, but tons of Disney World Resort hotels as well!
Treehouse Villa
One of the projects we’ve been following in particular is over at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, which has some of Disney World’s most unique and cool hotel rooms, the Treehouse Villas! The villas are massive and can house a big party on vacation. That being said, Disney (and we) knew it was time for a renovation. Well, after some time of refurbishment, Disney Imagineering shared a look inside the NEW Treehouse Villas!
