It’s been another BIG week in Disney news!
From HUNDREDS of price increases you’re going to want to know about to the start of another EPCOT festival, there’s a lot to catch up on this week! Got your coffee? Got a comfy spot on the couch? Alright then, let’s dive in to ALL of the biggest Disney news stories from this week!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened up at EPCOT on October 1st, 2021, and it has been a hit with guests since then.
For a few months, the ride relied on a virtual queue system with boarding groups, the same system that was previously used on Rise of the Resistance. Disney stopped using the virtual queue for the ride this week, and in addition to that, the ride is available during Early Theme Park Entry for resort guests. We stopped by today to test it out ourselves!
There’s a LOT going on in Disney World right now! EPCOT is FULL of activity; there’s still lots of construction all around the park, a new attraction is a few months away from opening, Festival of the Arts is starting soon, oh, and Disney just added a standby queue to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and removed the virtual queue system.

Bonjour!
For those of you hoping to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, you might be wondering what your best plan of attack should look like. Luckily, we have an update that should help you tackle ECPOT in an efficient way that (hopefully) reduces your standby wait time for this new attraction!
Not too long ago, Disney World debuted its newest ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
The ride is part of an addition to the France Pavilion, and from its opening day, guests had to obtain boarding passes for a virtual queue to ride it. However, we recently learned that the ride would soon go to a standby-only queue, and the day is now here. Today is the first day of Remy’s having a regular line, so come with us to check out the new process!
It’s never a dull week in Disney World!
This week we’ve learned about mysterious patents, big ride queue changes, and there was even a power outage! Let’s get right into all the unexpected Disney World news this week.
Disney has had some major events take place recently, including the holidays, Disney+ Day, and the start of 50th Anniversary celebrations in Disney World.
There’s another big day coming up very soon! January 10th is going to bring some MAJOR changes to the Disney parks, including ride closures, transportation changes, and new snacks. Here are ALL of the things that will be changing on that day.
In the past, Disney has used a virtual queue system for some of its most popular rides. Basically, that means that guests can use their smartphones to reserve a “boarding pass” for these rides early in the day, and then they’ll be called back later on when their boarding group is ready.
This prevents a long standby line from forming, and it can save you time in the parks as well. But with very limited boarding passes available and occasional technology glitches in the system, do guests really prefer a virtual queue over standby? We asked our readers to find out! [Read more…]
Over the past few months, we’ve seen virtual queues used at everything from hit attractions in Disney World to a popular cookie shop at Disney Springs.
But more recently we’ve started to see the use of virtual queues being discontinued at select spots. Not too long ago, Disney paused the use of virtual queues for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney World and Disneyland, and it paused the use of virtual queues on select days for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure in Disney California Adventure. Now, a virtual queue that has been in use in EPCOT is also going away!
