One of the standout offerings onboard a Disney Destiny sailing is the entertainment, namely the new Broadway-style show, Hercules. This incredible production features live singers and dancers, as well as some larger-than-life effects. And during our media sailing on board the ship, we got to go behind the scenes of the show.
The Disney Destiny, the latest ship from the ever-expanding Disney Cruise Line, is just about ready to for guests, and we got to see some of the ship’s NEW elements up close during a special preview cruise! The ship, which will have its maiden voyage on November 20th, is themed to Heroes and Villains, and be based on “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions” according to the company.
Cafe Megara
For the Destiny, Disney’s Imagineers were “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” That theming carries through to the ship’s dining areas, including Cafe Megara, based on Meg from Hercules.
Do Disney Adults born in the ’90s have it the BEST? Seriously, born in the middle of one of Disney’s greatest movie eras (we love you, Disney Renaissance), visited the parks for the first time during some of their most iconic years (RIP to the Streets of America and old EPCOT), and they now have disposable income (hopefully, tbh) in a season when Disney’s focusing on the nostalgia of the 20th century?
