Major changes are coming to Southwest Airlines soon, including baggage rules, seating arrangements, and even boarding policies, which will look different on your next flight.

Starting on January 27th, Southwest will require travelers to choose a seat assignment, or one will be assigned for them. This is a stark difference from the airlines’ long-standing “open seating” policy, which essentially allowed anyone to sit in any seat on the plane when boarding. Because of this change, the boarding process is also changing — and we’re sharing everything you need to know.

Napa Rose will officially reopen on February 6th, 2026. This premium dining experience at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is one of the most upscale restaurants you can visit during a Disneyland trip, and soon, you’ll get the opportunity to do just that yet again!
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently appointed two new members to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) Board — the special district that services Disney World’s roads, water, public safety, and other municipal needs.

With this change, there are officially no members of the original board appointed by the Governor in 2023, following a controversial takeover of the former Reedy Creek Improvement District created by Disney and the Florida legislature in 1967.
The Garden View Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been closed since the COVID-19 pandemic-related shutdown of Disney World, but back in November 2025, Disney announced that it would be reopening!

They didn’t share an official date — just that it would be happening sometime in “spring 2026.” But now, we officially know that the Garden View Lounge is reopening on March 19th!
The 2026 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival will run from March 4th through June 1st, 2026, and we can’t wait to check out everything it has to offer!
