Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more.
We’ve been keeping up with all the latest changes happening around Disney World, and over at Hollywood Studios, that means keeping an eye on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster transformation. Even though this ride only closed about a week ago, Disney has wasted no time in getting the retheme started.
We spotted even more changes over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster on our most recent visit to Hollywood Studios! We recently saw that Disney had started painting the car that marks the entrance to the courtyard where the ride is located, and now it looks like they’ve painted even more! We love the vibes it’s giving off, as it reminds us of the Electric Mayhem’s tour van!
We also happened to notice that the KRNR The Rock Station snack stand was closed. Disney has not yet announced what will happen with this snack station once the ride reopens with the Muppets theme, but we anticipate it will be a similar — if not the same — snack stand. The Disney World calendar shows “No Times Available” for KRNR as far as the calendar goes out, so it’s likely this spot will stay closed until the ride reopens. We just hope it’s not gone for good!
Disney has shared that Scooter, as band manager, along with the penguin audio engineers, will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert! They confirmed this will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an audio animatronic and that he might not be the only one in the attraction. However, they said we will have to learn more about that at a later date.
Throughout the attraction, we will be getting a VIP tour of G-Force Records, which is under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been warned that G-Force Records has a snazzy new look now that Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, is in charge.
We’ll be on the lookout for more changes at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Hollywood Studios. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
