For example, that Disney Visa can earn you rewards that you can use to help pay for your Disney vacation. You can also get discounts on merchandise, special photo spots with character meet and greets in the parks, and certain limited-time offerings. However, did you know your Disney Visa could also get you a discount on a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) membership? Well, it can!
It’s been over a year since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board took over what was once the Reedy Creek district at Disney World, after several lawsuits and a settlement agreement.

Now that the Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board has taken over the district, DeSantis has the power to appoint members to that board. Now, the governor has appointed three new members.
Disney has big plans for movies in 2025. For starters, the next movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Captain America: Brave New World just released. The live-action Snow White is set to come out this year, too. Then you’ve got ANOTHER Marvel movie, Thunderbolts*, coming out after that. Plus the live-action Lilo & Stitch is going to be HUGE.

But then there’s a third Marvel movie releasing, Fantastic Four: First Steps, followed by the Freaky Friday sequel, as well as Zootopia 2 and Avatar: Fire & Ash. However, the next Pixar movie, Elio, just had its release date pushed back from June 13th to June 20th, according to Deadline.
A LOT is happening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Tree of Life
Dinoland, U.S.A. has started its phased closing as Disney begins construction in that area on a brand NEW land, Pueblo Esperanza. It’s Tough To Be A Bug inside the Tree of Life will be closing soon to make way for a new show, Zootopia: Better Zoogether! Well, now, ANOTHER part of Animal Kingdom will be closing: the bat exhibit inside the Maharajah Jungle Trek.
If you’re heading to Japan for the 2025 Star Wars Celebration, which happens on April 18th-20th, we’re guessing there’s a good chance you might also have plans to visit Tokyo Disney Resort.

Well, if that’s the case, you’ll be able to enjoy a SPECIAL version of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, which will feature characters from some of the NEWEST Star Wars shows, like Ahsoka, Andor, and the Mandalorian and Grogu. You’ll be able to enjoy these new scenes on Star Tours from April 8th through June 30th.
Before you know it, the EPCOT Festival of the Arts will be ending on February 24th and the park will be getting ready for its NEXT big festival.

The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will start on March 5th and run through June 2nd. This is the festival that helps us ring in spring in Disney World — and we’re SO looking forward to it (even if it sometimes brings some uninvited guests). Also, this year marks the festival’s 30th anniversary! Anyway, Disney has been dropping some details about the festival, but we still don’t have the full food booth menus. However, we THINK we know when Disney will drop those menus!

2024 Valentine’s Day at Disney’s Boardwalk
Now, Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite holidays to celebrate in Disney World, mostly because we love all the Valentine’s Day treats (and ALL the chocolate snacks!). However, Valentine’s Day also brings some rare characters to the parks. Now yesterday, we celebrated Villaintine’s Day with Cruella De Vil and Jafar, but today, we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with even MORE rare characters!
Okay, I love Star Wars. And I love almost ALL things Star Wars, including those things that not all fans love, like The Last Jedi and The Acolyte.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland
I also LOVE Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. But I just have to come right out and make a confession: when I finally managed to get one of those hard-to-get reservations at Oga’s Cantina, I was NOT impressed. Yep, all that hype…but then when I finally got inside this themed bar, it just didn’t do much for me. Now let me tell you why…
Recently, The Walt Disney Company announced that its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) standards are changing.

The company sent a note to employees on February 11th from chief human resources officer Sonia Coleman that outlined how the company’s DEI standards would change. As a result, some of Disney’s staff have commented on their dissent against the changes, according to Deadline.
We’re only a few months away from the grand opening of Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, and we can’t wait.

Now, of course, we’re excited about the five new lands the new theme park will bring to Universal, but more importantly, we’re REALLY excited about all the new food the new park will have.
