Disney’s first After Hours event of the year officially sold out at the Magic Kingdom earlier this week.

The January 12th event, which offered tickets at $175, was completely sold out as of Monday morning. The event, which sees the park open an extra three hours for ticketholders to enjoy at a lower capacity, was the first of 16 After Hours events at the Magic Kingdom scheduled for the year.
It may feel like the Holiday Season just ended, but believe it or not, summer is going to be here before you know it!

At the recent Sixth Annual Global Tech & Data Showcase, Disney made a series of announcements regarding the company’s technological initiatives, including how “AI, insights, and automation” affect marketing initiatives.

Rita Ferro, The Walt Disney Company’s President of Global Advertising, wrote of the company’s announcements, “Advertisers are raising the bar for both accountability and innovation, seeking impactful ways to align with quality storytelling and data-led solutions that drive meaningful business results. Disney brings together world-class storytelling and the technology that connects brands with fans at scale across the world’s most premium live sports and entertainment experiences.”
A major publication has bestowed a big honor on Disney, as TIME has named the company one of America’s “Most Iconic Companies.”

The list is “a comprehensive analysis that seeks to identify entities that have not only achieved commercial success but have also become deeply ingrained in the American identity, shaping perceptions, habits, and aspirations,” and Disney came in 11th.
Rides based on Disney’s animated films have been part of Disney’s theme parks from the very beginning, as attractions based on Peter Pan, Snow White, and Mr. Toad anchored Disneyland’s Fantasyland when the park opened in 1955. Over the last 7 decades, films from across the Disney and Pixar canon have been immortalized at resorts around the world.

That said, to the chagrin of some fans, not every animated classic has gotten the ride treatment. Whether box office results scuttled plans — RIP Atlantis: The Lost Empire-themed Submarine Voyage refurbishment — or a film’s pop culture influence seemed to wane, many entries in the library have seemingly been skipped over.
