Yes, you DID read that title right. Despite the fact that many may think the words “Disney” and “free” never go together, there are some Disney events that offer “free” food.
Now, a quick caveat since someone will say it: In the context of these events, “free” could also technically be described as “included” as these snacks and food items are part of separate ticketed events that require admission. However, since those events also offer other foods for sale, it’s still fair to refer to the included snacks as “free.”
After Hours Events
These special events allow guests who’ve purchased tickets to stay in a select Disney theme park for 3 hours after the park closes to the general public. Perks include access to some of the resort’s most popular rides with significantly shorter wait times, and — our focus here — some included snacks.
During After Hours events, ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select bottled beverages are included in the cost and available at various locations stationed throughout the parks.
Magic Kingdom
- Main Street, U.S.A. – Popcorn and snack carts near Cinderella Castle
- Tomorrowland – Astrofizz hosted by Coca-Cola and ice cream carts near Tomorrowland Speedway
- Fantasyland – Maurice’s Popcorn near Gaston’s Tavern, plus ice cream carts near Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Pinocchio Village Haus
- Liberty Square – Popcorn cart near Liberty Tree Tavern
- Adventureland – Popcorn cart near Jungle Cruise
Hollywood Studios

- Hollywood Boulevard snack cart
- Sunset Boulevard snack cart
- Toy Story Land snack cart

The H2O Glow After Hours at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon offers “ice cream novelties, popcorn and select soft drinks” at locations in the water park.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
The Magic Kingdom’s premier Halloween event includes candy as part of the event’s Trick or Treat trails, allowing guests to fill their provided candy bags to their heart’s content.
Trick or Treat locations have included the following in the past:
- Main Street, U.S.A.
- Market Street Welcome
- Tomorrowland
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
- Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
- TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise
- Storybook Circus
- Walt Disney World Railroad Station – Fantasyland
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Fantasyland
- Gaston’s Tavern
- Princess Fairytale Hall
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- Frontierland
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
- The Diamond Horseshoe
- Country Bear Musical Jamboree
- Adventureland
- Jungle Cruise
- Tortuga Tavern
- Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
- Sunshine Tree Terrace
Disney also has special accommodations for those with allergies: “If you have a food allergy, please see a Cast Member to pick up a teal-colored treat bag. When you trick-or-treat with your teal bag, you’ll receive a teal token at our treat stations. Later on, you can redeem these teal tokens at our Allergy-Friendly Centers for special treats!”
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
The Magic Kingdom’s annual Christmas extravaganza also includes snacks in the form of festive sweets like cookies and hot and cold holiday sips, including hot cocoa at designated locations around the park, often identified by a large glowing inflatable.
It’s interesting to note that Jollywood Nights — the after-hours Holiday event at Hollywood Studios — has not offered any type of included “free” snacks, drinks, or food items as of the 2025 version of the event. It remains to be seen if that changes in the future.
While “free” food is certainly not the norm at Disney World, you can find some included snacks and drinks at these Disney World events. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney tips.
