Believe it or not, it’s already time to start planning your Halloween trip to Disneyland!
Halloween Time returns to the Disneyland Resort on August 21st and runs through Halloween night — October 31st, 2026. This fun and festive time brings haunting delights to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, and Disney just dropped more details about what we can expect this year!
Right before spooky season starts, the Paint the Night parade and Wondrous Journeys will continue at Disneyland from August 10th to 20th. Not only that, but World of Color — ONE will return to Disney California Adventure from August 10th through the end of the Halloween season.
Mickey, Minnie, and their buddies will be ready to celebrate spooky season with new costumes, featuring harlequin motifs, frilled collars and cuffs, and swirling confection details in hues of orange, yellow, and black.
Of course, Jack Skellington will be back at the Haunted Mansion for the iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay. There will be an all-new gingerbread house design in the ballroom, plus Sally, Zero, and Oogie Boogie Man himself.
Speaking of the Haunted Mansion, during Oogie Boogie Bash, “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party” will bring familiar and iconic moments from the Haunted Mansion to the streets of California Adventure. The new street party will feature multiple show-stopping moments for Madame Leota to host her spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight, inviting you to partake in a ghastly good time that beckons all 999 ghosts.
The Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular will have villains taking over Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., “it’s a small world,” and the Rivers of America. Maleficent, Ursula, and other favorites will celebrate with macabre music and fireworks on select nights.
You can also book the Happiest Haunts Guided Tour for a one-of-a-kind stroll through Disneyland and California Adventure, available at an additional cost.
Over at Disney California Adventure, Cars Land will become Radiator Screams, complete with “car-achnids,” a “pump-kin” patch, and residents dressed in their favorite “car-stumes.” Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween will return, too.
Supernatural spirits will take over Cars Land each evening for a haunting “Sha-BOO” moment, where the neon lights flicker on and illuminate the roads.
Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark will take over the Collector’s Fortress in Avengers Campus, and Mickey’s Trick or Treat will take place at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land beginning on August 18th.
Plaza de la Familia will return and run through Día de los Muertos, ending on November 2nd. Let the music move you during “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!” as a traveling troupe of storytellers bring songs like “Remember Me” and “The World Es Mi Familia” to life. You’ll also be able to sing and dance along to live mariachi music at the Paradise Garden Bandstand.
As part of Plaza de la Familia, expect limited-time eats and treats! Paradise Garden Grill will offer specialty menu items just for the season, including the returning Chilaquiles Carnitas Torta with red chilaquiles, refried beans, avocado spread, queso fresco, pickled red onions, and a fried egg served with chips. Stay tuned for the complete Disney Eats Foodie Guide!
And, of course, Oogie Boogie Bash is returning to Disney California Adventure from August 18th to October 31st! Tickets will go on sale beginning June 18, 2026, no earlier than 9 AM PST, with pre-sale opportunities for select groups like hotel guests and Magic Key Holders.
That’s a LOT of spooky fun coming to Disneyland Resort! We’ll be on the lookout for even more Halloween updates you need to know about. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more.
