An iconic Disney Springs staple is CHANGING soon, and we’ve got all the details!

After nearly 30 years at its current home, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop will be temporarily relocating to the Disney Springs Town Center while its Marketplace location undergoes a renovation. The renovations are expected to reopen sometime in Spring 2027 — here’s what you need to know.
Later this summer, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop will be closing at its original location and will reopen at a new, temporary location in the Disney Springs Town Center area. The updated shop in the Marketplace is expected to reopen in Spring 2027. The remodeled store will feature increased guest seating, more efficient guest checkout, and a “few surprises.”

“Disney Springs has been a cherished home for Ghirardelli for nearly 30 years, and we are proud of the magical chocolate memories we’ve helped create for guests from around the world,” said Lacey Zane, Vice President of Restaurant & Retail at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.
“Our longstanding relationship with Disney is an important part of that story, and this next chapter allows us to thoughtfully evolve the space while honoring its legacy. We look forward to continuing to serve guests at our temporary location in Town Center during this transition and unveiling an updated space in 2027.”

During the transition, visitors can still enjoy Ghirardelli’s World Famous Hot Fudge Sundaes, signature chocolate treats, and full menu at the temporary location.
As of now, the temporary location has not yet been revealed, but it will be located nearby in the Town Center area of Disney Springs. Once we find out the new location and an official moving date, we’ll be sure to let you know.

The good news is that you won’t have to go without your Ghirardelli fix during the renovations, since the full menu will still be available! Plus, when the renovated location reopens, it will come with an even better guest experience. Sounds like it will ultimately be a win-win for chocolate lovers everywhere!
