We just got off Disney Cruise Line‘s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, and there’s so much to explore on board, we’re STILL telling you all about it over a week later!
This ship is unlike any other Disney Cruise we’ve ever been on. The ship was laid out completely differently with rides on board, seven entirely unique themed areas, restaurants we’ve never been to before, and so much more. While the main dining locations aren’t to be missed, there are also so many smaller coffee shops and bars on board that we also feel it’s important not to miss them. If you’re planning on sailing soon, or just living vicariously through the posts, don’t miss these three spots on board!
Bewitching Boba and Brews
If you’re craving some boba on board, don’t worry, you’re in luck! Located on Deck 10, Bewitching Boba and Brews is themed after The Little Mermaid, but more specifically, Ursula, Flotsam, and Jetsam. The neon lights and vibrancy make it different than any other spot on board.
We decided to snag the Mermaid’s Berry Kiss for $7.75, which is Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry, Jasmine Tea. This was SO fresh and fruity, but was very natural tasting and clearly had no added sugar. The jasmine tea added an earthiness to help balance the fruit flavors. It was super refreshing, but don’t expect something super sweet!
We also tried the Mystic Tide Matcha for $7.75, which is made with Milk, Matcha, and Brown Sugar Boba.
This was VERY earthy, and the main flavor is certainly the matcha. The milk does help to cut through the bitterness a bit, but this won’t be a fit for people who prefer sweeter matcha drinks. The brown sugar boba was bouncy and chewy and added a slight sweetness if you got it in a sip or two, but overall, the drink was still very bitter.
Market Bar
Market Bar is located on Deck 17, and it’s the café adjoining Pixar Market Restaurant. Here you’ll find crafted cocktails and vibrant mocktails, and it’s more of a walk-up bar than anything else.
Here we grabbed the Singapore Sunset for $9, which is made with Malibu Rum, Peach, Midori, Pineapple, and Cranberry.
We had two VERY different experiences here, and it depended on where you drank it from. The Malibu rum was one of the main flavors here, but the sweet coconut notes really came through if you drank it through the straw. However, the peach flavor really came through, making it different from your traditional beach drink if you drank it from the top. Even after mixing it, we only got the pineapple and coconut flavor at the bottom, and peach at the top. It was good, but we don’t think it’s a must-get.
Wayfinder Bar
You can find the Wayfinder Bar on Deck 10 as well, but it’s right near the Moana-inspired Wayfinder Bay, which is located at the back of the ship. It’s a great spot to grab a drink while sitting by the pool!
First, we tried the Beyond The Reef Sangria for $12, which is made with Rendez-Vous Sauvignon Blanc, Malibu Rum, Pineapple, Passion Fruit, Lime, and Agave. This surprised us! It leaned heavily on the rum and fruit, making this more of a beach beverage and not a traditional sangria. It was sweet and nice, but not what we expected, and we would have liked to taste a bit more of the wine. If you’re looking for classic white or red sangria, this won’t satisfy your cravings, but it’s a solid drink.
We also tried the Islander Fizz for $9, which is made with Lyre’s London Dry, Mandarin, Lemon, Green Tea, and Soda.
This was a mocktail, so there was no alcohol in it, and we enjoyed it! The main flavor came from the green tea, so while it reminded us of iced tea, it also still gave us mocktail vibes for sure. The Zero Proof liquor in here really does still give it the flavor complexity that we love from cocktails, and it was very well balanced. In fact, it was probably one of our favorite drinks we had on the WHOLE ship!
