So many new lands are currently in progress in Disney World, with one of the biggest being Monstropolis in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The land is taking over the former Muppets Courtyard, and we’ve been following along closely with construction since the beginning to see how it’s all been coming along. The new coaster coming to the land is to be Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster, and based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be BIG, and that’s only being confirmed by these new photos we just got of its status.
@bioreconstruct on X was just able to get some fantastic flyover photos of how the roller coaster is looking from above. From what we can see, it’s clear that the structure’s width/base floor appears to be mainly complete, as now Disney is working on building upwards.
Multiple floors are now in the process of being built, and we can even see where track has begun to be placed on the service floor level! It also appears there is some track on the higher levels as well, which could be for the ride track in the first scene, according to @bioreconstruct.
There’s still lots of work left to be done, of course, but we’re really thinking this land will hit its 2027 opening timeline, though we imagine it could be closer to the middle of the year rather than the beginning (but we can dream!).
