In today’s chaotic world, many folks are choosing to swap their Disney World vacation for a Disney Cruise one — and we don’t blame them!
With a whopping eight ships currently sailing, and more on the way, there are even more possibilities on board the Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Adventure just had its maiden voyage, with the Disney Destiny setting sail for the first time shortly before that. The House of Mouse is pulling out all the stops to make cruising with them the next big thing — and this new ad is certainly going to help. Grab your tissues!
Disney Cruise Line premiered a new ad campaign during the Academy Awards on ABC that shows how even the simplest moments on a Disney vacation can grow into lifelong memories and treasured family traditions.
The ad, dubbed “Midnight Magic,” follows a father and son as they share a quiet ritual on a Disney Cruise ship, all the way from childhood to adulthood, and into grandparenthood.
“Disney has brought families closer together for generations,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “This campaign embodies what guests tell us time and again: that the Disney experiences they cherish most are the ones spent with the people they love. We’re grateful to make that kind of Disney magic a reality.”
The creative team that created this ad drew inspiration from how Disney creates moments of real connection, sometimes in moments of grandeur and sometimes in the quiet moments shared as a family. The campaign highlights Disney’s unique ability to touch lives, build meaningful connections, and create happiness — not just through attractions, shows, and experiences, but in time spent with each other on Disney vacations.
Five new Disney Cruise Line ships are planned by 2031, which will bring the fleet to a total of 13 ships worldwide, including the new Disney Destiny and the new Disney Adventure ships.
You can check out the new ad below, but we’re warning you — have some tissues handy.
If that doesn’t make you want to book a Disney Cruise with your whole family, I don’t know what will!

And to think there’s a constantly negative blogger on a non-DFB site who just recently was complaining that Disney ads don’t have the heart they used to. This one is as good as it gets.
Awww!
There is no “teary” ad above, whether Disney or otherwise.
Hi Lorraine! The ad is linked below the article.
