Let’s be honest: if you are paying Disney World prices, you want every possible second of park time squeezed out of that vacation like the last drop of cold brew on a rope-drop morning.
And thankfully, some hotels really do help with that.
Disney World offers Early Theme Park Entry to guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and select other hotels, which gets you into the parks 30 minutes early every day of your stay, including check-in and check-out day. And if you stay at the right deluxe-level spots, you can also unlock Extended Evening Hours on select nights in select parks. In other words: earlier rides, later rides, and a much better chance of not spending your whole day in one giant line shaped like despair.
So if your vacation strategy is “less standing around, more doing cool stuff,” these are the hotels you need on your radar.
First, what perk are we talking about?
If you stay at a Disney Resort hotel or certain qualifying non-Disney hotels, you can get Early Theme Park Entry, which lets you enter any of the four parks 30 minutes before official opening every day. You’ll need valid admission, and for some ticket types, theme park reservations may still be required, though date-based tickets no longer need reservations.
And yes, before you roll your eyes at “just 30 minutes,” let me stop you right there. Thirty minutes in Disney World before the crowds fully descend is not normal time. It is premium, high-octane, chaos-avoiding time. It is “ride something major before the line starts behaving like a Taylor Swift presale” time.
If you stay at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort, or a few very specific other hotels, you may also get Extended Evening Hours on select nights. That means extra time in select parks after regular closing, and that perk is also continuing through 2026
All Disney Value Resorts that get Early Theme Park Entry
If you want extra park time without deluxe-level sticker shock, the Value category is still in the game. These hotels qualify for Early Theme Park Entry:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
This is one of the reasons Value Resorts remain so popular. You may not be getting marble bathrooms and mood lighting that makes you feel like royalty, but you are getting that precious head start into the parks. And when that head start helps you knock out a must-do ride before the standby wait turns feral? That’s real value.
All Disney Moderate Resorts that get Early Theme Park Entry
Next up, the Moderates. These also qualify for Early Theme Park Entry:
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
Moderates live in that sweet spot where you want a little more atmosphere, a little more breathing room, and maybe a vacation vibe that says “I have standards” without fully detonating your budget.
And getting Early Entry here is especially nice because it can help offset one of the biggest Disney World truths: transportation eats time. A lot of it. Any hotel perk that helps you get in front of the crowd before the day goes sideways is a beautiful thing.
Disney Deluxe Resorts that get both Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours
Now we’re entering the part of the conversation where Disney starts saying, “What if your hotel also came with bonus magic after dark?”
These Disney Deluxe Resorts get both Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
This is where the “more park time” promise really starts showing off. Early Entry is great. Extended Evening Hours? That’s the spicy little bonus. Fewer people, extra ride time, and that delicious feeling of still being in the park after many other guests have already been herded toward the exits.
If you are the type of Disney fan who likes to zig when everyone else zags, these hotels deserve your attention.
Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts that get both Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours
Next in line are the Deluxe Villas at Disney World (which have access to the Extended Evening Hours as well).
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort
- The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
One important note here: Disney specifically says that for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, the Extended Evening Hours perk applies to the Disney Vacation Club Cabins only. That is the kind of fine print that loves to hide in the corner and ruin someone’s plans, so keep your eyeballs on it.
Other select hotels that also get Early Theme Park Entry
And, last but certainly not least, is the portion of the list that includes the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Disney World’s on-property military hotel, and other local hotels in the area!
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
- DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Orlando
- Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista
- Four Seasons Resort Orlando
- Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace
- Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista
- Holiday Inn Orlando
- Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa
- Shades of Green on Walt Disney World Resort
- Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
- Waldorf Astoria Orlando
- Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista
- Wyndham Lake Buena Vista
Other select hotels that also get Extended Evening Hours
Other select hotels that qualify for Extended Evening Hours are:
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
- Shades of Green on Walt Disney World Resort
So yes, not every Early Entry hotel gets the later-night bonus. Some do. Some do not. Disney loves a layered eligibility chart almost as much as it loves selling cupcakes shaped like ears.
Why this perk matters more than people think
Look, thirty minutes does not sound dramatic on paper. But in Disney World terms? It can be the difference between: Getting on a headliner ride fast or staring into the abyss of a 75-minute wait time at 9:12 AM.
Disney’s current Early Entry attraction lineup includes some heavy hitters, depending on the park, like:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Space Mountain
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
- Frozen Ever After
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Rise of the Resistance
- Avatar Flight of Passage
- Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
Attractions can change, of course, but the basic point remains: this perk gives you a real shot at tackling big rides early.
And if you’re staying at a qualifying deluxe hotel and also get Extended Evening Hours? That’s where the math starts getting real cute. Earlier in the morning and later at night means you have more opportunities to hit popular attractions without spending your entire vacation marinating in standby lines.
One more thing worth knowing
Resort guests and guests at other select hotels can buy Lightning Lane passes up to 7 days before the first day of their resort stay, which is another sneaky advantage when you’re trying to build a more efficient park day. It’s not the main topic here, but it absolutely belongs in the “more park time” conversation.
The Bottom Line
If your goal is to wring every last drop of value out of your Disney World trip, these hotels really can help you do it.
The biggest winners are still the hotels that offer Early Theme Park Entry, because that extra 30 minutes can go a surprisingly long way when used well. And if you can swing one of the Deluxe Resorts, Deluxe Villas, or a handful of qualifying other select hotels with Extended Evening Hours, even better. That is peak “work smarter, not harder” Disney strategy.
Because at the end of the day, more park time is more ride time, more snack time, more “we actually got something done today” time, and less wandering around asking how it is somehow already noon when you just got here three emotional support coffees ago.
Disney vacations are expensive enough. Your hotel should be pulling its weight.

I’m really disappointed that the Swan and Dolphin aren’t included.
Swan and Dolphin not on the list 🙁
they took off shades of green
Didn’t notice Shades of Green either. That is where I normally stay.
We’ll be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in November!
Ray and Patricia, Shades of Green is listed in the last grouping.
Still disgusted about the late hours being reserved for deluxe resorts. Early entry doesn’t appeal to me at all.
We will be at the Poly and ready to celebrate on 10-1.
Non-Disney hotels getting the benefits!?! Why am I paying a huge premium for Disney hotels?
Weird that it’s the campsites but not the cabins, where I’ll be staying in October.
Don’t really care, though.
So how is this a benefit for Disney hotel guests if the Disney Springs hotels are getting it too? Why exactly are we paying so much more to stay at a Disney hotels? There is no reason to extend this to DS hotels. Disney needs to give Disney guest the perks for paying their high prices
30 minutes early for most of the entire hotels WDW owns! Where’s the benefit?
Just want to remind folks that just a few months ago, it was common for rope drop to occur 30 to 60 minutes early for EVERYONE.
Between now and the 50th birthday, rope drop occurs at park opening. I visited in July, I experienced this myself. So in order to “give” this new benefit for the birthday celebration, Disney actually took it away temporarily. Ta-Da!
And note that when the benefit comes back, it will not be available to EVERYONE as it was before, it will only be available to select Resort guests (as described in the article above). Disney Magic!!!
Reading should be mandatory in school. Swan, Dolphin and Shades of Green are ALL listed in the Article above as properties included in early entry. All THree are listed in the Disney Springs Area section. Shades of Green is the First one listed and Swan and Dolphin are the last two.
Shades Of Green is way into Disney Property and reserved for Military. Swan and Dolphin are not Disney Owned but the first two Resorts at WDW. Both have always been included in Disney Property benifits as far as stay, Dining Plans, Magic Bands, Bus Service ect.
Does anyone know if Yeehaw Bob is coming back to the Riverside when it opens in October?
Thank you for this list. I have been searching everywhere to try to find if Bonnet Creek was included. You just made my vacation planning less hectic!
01-12-22
Riverside and French Quarter are open, I stayed there*French Quarter) a few weeks ago. No Bob is not back, No live entertainment at the hotels yet.
We’ll be staying at The Yacht Club in Nov to celebrate our 35th Anniversary & feast around the world at the Wine & Food Festival!!!
That sounds like a great time, Tim! Happy early 35th Anniversary! I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Holiday Inn Orlando? What Holiday Inn in Orlando? There are several.
After hours are better and MUCH SAFER. When the rope drops in the morning and thousands of people from all hotels STAMPEDE to their favorite rides, particularly INDIVIDUAL ATTRACTIONS, do you think that eventually small children and the elderly will be trampled and hurt?
