I’ve been going to Disney World since 1993, and while I love the rides, there are some that I’m just not going on.

Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train
Disney is full of all kinds of rides, from thrilling attractions to slower speed boat rides. While every guest probably has their own favorite ride, there are rides that even the Disney World pros will skip out on. Here are eight attractions we skipped and why you might want to, too!
Mission Space
You probably saw this one coming if you have ridden EPCOT’s Mission: SPACE. This ride is normally a big NO for many Disney World experts — and you can add us to that list. This thrill ride does a good job of making you feel forces similar to what it’s like to ride an actual rocket (some may say too good a job), and it’s an absolute nightmare if you suffer from the slightest bit of motion sickness. In fact, people who don’t deal with motion sickness are often still affected by this ride. The attraction has a Green and Orange version, representing two versions that differ in severity. Keep in mind, though, that even the Green version comes equipped with barf bags because you’re still gonna feel some G forces regardless, and many experts decide to retain their lunch instead and skip.

Mission Space
Slinky Dog Dash
Slinky Dog Dash over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a fun ride, but there’s one thing that keeps pros away from it — the wait times. The line for this ride is ALWAYS long (unless you ride it during a separately ticketed event like Jollywood Nights or After Hours Events), and experts aren’t willing to use an hour of their day for it. But pros know to either rope drop this attraction if it is a must-do, or you can snag a Tier 1 selection if you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
There’s a long list of spin-y rides at Disney World, and experts who get motion sick know to steer clear of them so they don’t ruin their park day. Rides like Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Astro Orbiter, Price Charming Regal Carrousel (wow, Magic Kingdom has a LOT of spinning rides), etc can make guests sick.

Mad Tea Party
Tomorrowland Speedway
Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland Speedway is a bit redundant when many of the adult guests there likely had to drive to the theme park. Why waste time driving when it’s something you can do outside of the Disney Parks? Also, I’m not sure how futuristic gas-guzzling cars are and what their place is in Tomorrowland, but that’s a point for another day. This line can get surprisingly long, too, because the cars only take 2 at a time.

Kali River Rapids
On a hot summer’s day, Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom provides some much-needed relief, cooling you off and saving you from the heat. Other days? Not so much. Whether you want it or not, you WILL get soaked. This ride can feel very short as well, making it not a great use of your time.

Kali River Rapids
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Similar to Slinky Dog Dash, Mine Train runs high wait times, and pros tend to skip it because of that. Guests also complain that this feels quite short compared to other attractions. You can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass for this attraction, or we suggest hitting it during Early Theme Park Entry if it’s a ride you really want to do.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Peter Pan’s Flight
Just steps away from Mine Train is Peter Pan’s Flight. It is a fun ride, but it’s also a skip for many experts. The complaints we have about this ride are similar to the complaints for Slinky Dog Dash. The wait is hardly worth it when it takes over 20 minutes, and it gets well over that daily. I will say, I personally ride it for the notologia factor. If you want to ride this, we suggest doing it during rope drop, as that is when lines are the shortest.

Journey Into Imagination With Figment
Before you, Figment fans, come after us, let us explain! The original version of this ride was called Journey Into Imagination, and it featured the beloved Dreamfinder and Figment. Fans say that this version of the attraction was better. If you aren’t a Figment fan, you’re probably skipping this to opt for more thrilling rides in EPCOT.
