Let’s be honest: if you are paying Disney World prices, you want every possible second of park time squeezed out of that vacation like the last drop of cold brew on a rope-drop morning.
And thankfully, some hotels really do help with that.
food IS a theme park
Let’s be honest: if you are paying Disney World prices, you want every possible second of park time squeezed out of that vacation like the last drop of cold brew on a rope-drop morning.
And thankfully, some hotels really do help with that.
As the Disney Food Blog, it should come as no surprise that we take great interest in the dining options in and around Disney World. So when a Disney World restaurant is recognized by a major food magazine, you know we’ll be covering it!
Some of the best dining options at Disney World aren’t found at the parks, but instead at the hotels. Such is the case with the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. The first Waldorf Astoria to open outside of New York, this Disney World resort is home to a steakhouse that was just recognized as one of Florida’s BEST.
It’s not uncommon to see hotels around the Orlando area be renovated to keep things fresh and new.
Lots of Disney World hotels are being renovated right now, some so much so that it’s a little difficult to walk around (we’re looking at you Grand Floridian). However, if you’re heading to Orlando soon and looking for somewhere off-property but close by to stay, this hotel has just gone under extensive renovations!
If you know us, you know that we talk a lot about Disney restaurants. It’s kind of our thing.

Magic Kingdom
We are able to go to different Disney World restaurants and be able to share with you, our readers, our experience. We do this to bring you some knowledge so that when you’re planning your next Disney vacation, you might be able to try new restaurants you have never been to. We were recently invited to have dinner at a steakhouse at Disney World that we bet you didn’t know existed.
There are so many projects going on in Disney World, it’s hard to keep track of them all.
Journey of Water is fast underway in EPCOT’s World Nature, the Polynesian Village Resort is getting a new DVC building, and there’s a new restaurant coming to Disney’s BoardWalk. Soon, an upscale hotel near Disney World will be getting a new reimagining as well.
We hope you’re hungry! Orlando has practically hundreds of incredible fine dining options to choose from, like Citricos and Victoria and Alberts, which are both located at Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort. If you’re looking for a unique dining experience outside of Disney World theme parks or resorts, you might want to check out the Epicurious experience at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek!
Have we piqued your interest? Come with us on a dining adventure as we taste foods from some popular restaurants at Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek!
We’ll admit it: we don’t really want to see the 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival end (and as EPCOT hasn’t posted an end date yet, we might just get our wish!). But now, we’ve got ANOTHER food and wine event in the Orlando area!
That event is Food and Wine Weekends, and it happens at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek!
A BRAND NEW hotel has just joined the ranks of the Bonnet Creek-area hotels, which are located INSIDE the gates of Walt Disney World.
The JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa opened July 1st and is located just down the road from other popular Bonnet Creek resorts the Hilton Orlando-Bonnet Creek Resort, the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando.
And while Disney World has yet to confirm a reopening date for the remaining hotels across property, the Waldorf Astoria Orlando has now announced a reopening date!
The 2018 Epcot Food and Wine Festival is happening now through November 12 celebrating food and wine (and more) from around the world.
And, there’s another foodie celebration hosted by the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Bonnet Creek that is meant to complement and enhance your Epcot Food and Wine Festival experience — the Food & Wine Weekends at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando.
The Food & Wine Weekends at the Waldorf Astoria features a selection of tasting events highlighting dishes from the hotel’s signature restaurants along with their master mixology team and pastry team. Let’s check out some of the goodies. [Read more…]
