Disney World Is FINALLY Fixing Some of Its Most Outdated Hotel Rooms

When you have dozens of hotels in Disney World, at least one of them is likely getting a refurbishment at a time!

Treehouse Villas

Over at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, you’ll find some of the coolest hotel rooms that Disney World has to offer — Treehouse Villas! These villas are massive and great for a large party, but they’re a bit outdated. Thankfully, they’re now getting refurbished.

From now through mid-September 2026, refurbishment work will take place in phases at Saratoga Springs Resort, including refurbishments for the Treehouse Villas. If you’re staying at the resort, you may see or hear construction work during the daytime hours.

Also, starting March 23rd, the tennis courts and basketball court will be closed for refurbishment. They’re set to reopen in June. At this time, Disney hasn’t noted any other amenities that will be unavailable.

Saratoga Springs Lobby

We noticed some construction permits filed for the Saratoga Springs Treehouses back in December. Notices of commencement for each of the treehouse locations were filed with the contractor listed as Land-Ron. This is a nationwide hotel renovation contractor that, according to their website, “specializes in luxury interior finishes for major hospitality brands.”

The interior of the treehouses currently wouldn’t exactly be described as “luxury,” so maybe we’ll see a bit of an upgrade with the refurbishment? The permits have an expiration date of January 1st, 2027, so that fits with the September timeline. We’ll be interested to see what the renovation looks like once it’s complete.
