Disney World is changing big time in 2026 and beyond! The theme parks are getting a big overhaul, and even the resorts are getting in on the fun.

Recently, new permits have been filed that indicate even more resort changes, this time at Saratoga Springs! If you’ve ever dreamed of sleeping in the trees (and haven’t we all), you’ll want to read this.

Saratoga Springs’ most famous rooms might be getting an upgrade! If you don’t know, this Disney resort is home to the Disney Vacation Club Treehouse Villas. Now these secluded rooms are joining in on the construction chaos of Orlando.

The Treehouse Villas

In several Notices of Commencement, the Disney Vacation Club Management Corporation filed a permit for “general construction.” They filed a permit for each of the tree houses, meaning these popular rooms are headed for refurbishment!

The contractor is listed as Land-Ron, which is a nationwide hotel renovation contractor that, according to their website, “specializes in luxury interior finishes for major hospitality brands.” The permits have an expiration date of January 1st, 2027. That means we could be seeing changes throughout 2026.

The phrase “general construction” doesn’t give us much to go on, but it does indicate that these changes will be more of an interior refresh than a major overhaul. We love these DVC villas, but we won’t deny that it’s time for an update.

Even if you aren’t a member of the Disney Vacation Club, you can stay in the villas, which feel so secluded and calming after a long day in the parks. Disney World is also working on the addition of a brand-new hotel, Lakeshore Lodge, as well as construction on popular resorts like The Contemporary.

Disney has yet to formally confirm the project at Saratoga Springs, but we’re sure they will let us know before construction begins to impact guests at the resorts. We’re eager to see what the changes become throughout this next year, because what’s a few more changes in this sea of chaos?
