This Is the BEST Muppet*Vision 3D News (Well, Aside from the Attraction Actually Coming Back to Disney World)

If you’re a Muppets fan like we are, you’re going to want to sit down for this. Muppet*Vision 3D will soon be streaming!

We love The Muppets!

Muppet*Vision 3D closed in Hollywood Studios on June 8th, 2025, to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land. There were rumors that the show might live on, but we only just now got confirmation!

Disney stated there were discussions and “creative conversations and exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future” back when the show closed last summer. They later confirmed that the show was filmed, but that’s about it.

According to Apple Insider, Jim Henson’s son, Brian Henson, has confirmed that Muppet*Vision 3D will arrive on VR headsets and Apple Vision Pro. This will keep the 3D effects intact while still streaming from home!

While there’s no official release date, we’re hopeful it will happen soon! The Muppets have had a large comeback in pop culture this year with a new The Muppet Show special featuring Sabrina Carpenter, which drew in 7 million viewers in its first week on Disney+.

The Muppets are also making a large appearance in the Disney Parks. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will debut this summer at Hollywood Studios. The ride follows the Electric Mayhem band with special appearances by Kermit, Miss Piggy, Scooter, and Gonzo.

Apple Vision Pro already has the technology to stream in 3D, which we’ve seen before! Disney+ partnered with Apple back in 2024 to offer select movies streaming in 3D, including breakout franchises like Avatar, Marvel, Star Wars, Disney Animation, and Disney Pixar. This makes us confident that a release date is coming sooner rather than later.
