It’s About to Get EASIER to Eat at This Popular EPCOT Restaurant

It’s starting to get hard keeping up with all the changes happening in Disney World. Three of the four theme parks are getting BIG changes with new lands, expansions, and rides. Some Disney World hotels are getting new hotel lobbies and rooms. Even Disney World restaurants are changing.

Hassun at Takumi Tei

One restaurant, in particular, Takumi-Tei, in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion, might also be changing soon, at least according to the restaurant’s hours on the Disney World website. Let’s take a look at the changes.

Takumi-Tei is normally closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but according to the Disney World website, the restaurant will be open on both Tuesday and Wednesday, starting in March. We attempted to confirm this with the restaurant itself, but we got no answer, and the restaurant’s answering service said that the restaurant would still be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That being said, we were able to book a reservation for those dates!

Takumi-Tei

Takumi-Tei is a restaurant that offers pre-fixe “omakase” tasting menus, as one might have in Japan. This is basically a tasting menu that’s left up to the chef, so you never know what you’re going to get, but it will be a special dining experience with a meal curated by the restaurant’s chef.

It’s likely that the restaurant extended its hours due to Spring Break, which generally starts in March. This is when we see high concentrations of crowds in Disney World, meaning more people will need places to eat. Note that Takumi-Tei is still only open for dinner, though.
