Sound the alarm, we’re finally getting details on what’s happening at Disney World’s Boardwalk Resort!

BoardWalk
A huge announcement was made about tons of things coming to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Yes, we finally have answers on what’s happening with what was Jellyrolls, but what we want to talk about right now is a brand-new shopping experience on the way.
A new shopping experience is coming to Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, and it’s going to offer vintage charm. The new retail experience is called Basin on the BoardWalk, and it will be rooted in the resort’s classic boardwalk heritage. The store will offer a sensory shopping experience that is described as “both timeless and distinctly new.”

The store will have a “curated collection of handcrafted products made with quality ingredients, including natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, shampoo and conditioner bars, and more.”

Not only will you be able to shop here, but you can also take a look at the interactive elements that make the experience especially unique. The interactive elements will include a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finishing touch.
If you’ve ever visited the Basin locations at Disney Springs or the Grand Floridian, this will be similar, but with a fun new twist!

In other news, we also got word on something else new coming soon. Disney’s Boardwalk is getting a new lounge called Hurly-Burly. The lounge will offer guests “fun-filled afternoons and glamorous evenings inside a historic seaside theatre with a vibrant BoardWalk story that spans over a century.” Disney never confirmed that it would be the Jellyrolls building, but we have a hunch!

It’s tough to be excited about a third Basin location in WDW. Seems a bit excessive and a little disappointing for Boardwalk.
Basin products are really good. Not cheap, but high quality. Their shampoo and conditioner bars are excellent, and here’s a tip: you need two or three shampoo bars per conditioner bar. Their bath soaps are fun.
I’m just glad they will have a presence right next to EPCOT since the majority of our Disney time is spent there.
