Bringing a water bottle to Disney World is EXTREMELY important, no matter what time of year it is.
While it’s most important during the hot days of summer to ensure you don’t get dehydrated or suffer from overheating, you can get dehydrated at any time of year, so we recommend bringing a water bottle with you no matter when you’re heading into the parks. We’ve tried out lots of different water bottles, but when it comes down to it, a lot of people are deciding between three popular brands — Owala, Stanley, and Yeti. So, which one should you choose? We’ve done the research to help you decide!
Stanley IceFlow
When it comes to bringing a water bottle to the park, we’re not kidding when we say that nearly EVERYONE on our team has decided that the Stanley IceFlow is the way to go. Not only have we tried them for work, but many of us own them as our own personal water bottles as well!
What we really love about this water bottle is that there are numerous sizes to choose from, but all of them are slim and easy to carry around while also holding a great amount of water (AND keeping it cold throughout the day!). We also really appreciate that the top comes apart very easily to really clean it well! After being in Disney World with that water that doesn’t taste the greatest, that’s extra important.
This is absolutely our top pick, so if you need any other push to grab one, this is it.
Owala
Very close behind the Stanley is none other than the Owala water bottle. This is a brand that proves itself time and time again, and we really appreciate that it doesn’t sweat on the outside (even on the hottest days), and the handle flips up and down super easily to really make sure the lid on the drinking spout doesn’t become exposed to germs.
These are slim, easy to carry around the parks, and also keep your drinks cold for the majority of the day. While they’re still pretty easy to take apart and clean, there are a few aspects we wish were a little easier. It’s also CRAZY durable — we’ve dropped ours on the ground more times than we can count, and while it does get a few scratches and scrapes, it never affects the way the water bottle functions.
If you’re not a big fan of the Stanleys, or you just want something that will cover the spout totally, this is the way to go!
Yeti
While the Yeti water bottle is still a great water bottle all around, when compared to the other two, it’s our least favorite. It’s pretty bulky, but thanks to its vacuum seal, it does fantastic at keeping the temperature of whatever liquid is inside the bottle. However, while that’s great, we feel it’s TOO bulky to make it easy to carry around the parks.
While the flip top for the straw is easy to use, it’s exposed to the outside air, and we’re not a big fan of the fact that the handle is static and can’t flip down. Again, it’s not a bad water bottle by any means, but out of the three, unless the most important thing is keeping your drink as cold as possible and you don’t care about a flush design, we’d choose the Owala or Stanley over the Yeti any day.
We like all of these water bottles for different reasons, but if we had to pick one, it would be the Stanley! Congratulations to Stanley for winning the major smackdown, although you really can’t go wrong with any of these three. It’s up to you and your preferences, which is why we tested them all!
We’re continuously trying out new products in the park to help you decide what’s best for you, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest news!
