Let’s talk about a very real Disney World problem: it’s 10:45PM, you just got back to your hotel after a full park day, your feet are screaming… and your tummy is rumbling.

New food at Contempo Cafe
The catch? Many Disney World quick-service restaurants close around 10 or 11 PM. If you didn’t grab something before heading out of the parks, late-night dining options at your resort can feel seriously limited, especially if you’re a night owl or traveling with hungry kids. And that’s exactly why this app hack feels life-changing.
Room Service Is (Mostly) Gone
You might be thinking, if you’re coming back to your Disney resort late, there must be options, but it might be more complicated than you think! If you’ve stayed at Disney World for years, you might remember when in-room dining (aka room service) was widely available. That service hasn’t returned to most hotels since 2020, and currently, the only Disney World hotel offering traditional room service is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. That’s it. So if you’re staying at a Value, Moderate, or even another Deluxe property, you’re likely out of luck when it comes to Mickey waffles delivered to your door. But there’s a hack.

The DoorDash Trick
Yes, even inside the Disney “bubble,” you can order delivery from DoorDash straight to your resort, and honestly, it’s a game-changer. Instead of being limited to whatever’s open at your resort, you suddenly have access to late-night fast food, local restaurants, grocery deliveries, and coffee. It completely opens up your options, especially after park closing. When you go to place your order, be sure to give them the correct physical address of your resort. You can find this in your MyDisney Experience app under Hotel Reservations.

Sometimes, you will be asked to meet your delivery driver outside the entrance, in the lobby, or at Bell Services. The best practice might change throughout the day, so it is always a good idea to check before placing your order. For privacy purposes, we would recommend meeting your driver in a common area rather than at your room. It should also be noted that a lot of times, there are inflated prices and fees for using this service, but when you’re hungry, you do what you gotta do!

Another Smart Move
If you’d rather stick with Disney food, there’s another trick that can save you from late-night hunger. Before leaving the park, open the My Disney Experience app and place a Mobile Order for snacks to bring back to your room. Some especially great options are Main Street Confectionery for packaged sweets, candy apples, and treats you can snack on later, or Karamell-Küche in EPCOT for caramel popcorn, cookies, and caramel-covered everything. Grabbing something on your way out means you won’t be stuck staring at a closed quick service location later. Pro tip: Order before fireworks end so you can skip the long lines on your way out.

Why This Hack Works
After walking 20,000+ steps, waiting in lines, and staying up past your normal bedtime, the last thing you want is to feel stuck without food options. While we’d love to see room service return across Disney World resorts, this app workaround gives you flexibility, and honestly, more variety than traditional room service ever did. Whether you’re craving burgers at midnight, need breakfast delivered before hitting the parks, or just forgot to grab snacks, this is one Disney World trick that can seriously upgrade your stay.
