We know that Disney World is expensive, but you might want to think twice about this extra upgrade that could solve one major problem for you!

Blizzard Beach
There are plenty of upgrades you can do for your Disney World vacation. You can pay to stay in a club-level room to get access to a lounge full of food, or you can pay hundreds of dollars to skip the lines with Lightning Lane Premier Pass. While some of these seem over the top to some guests, others love spending the extra money for convenience. We’re going to tell you about a cheap upgrade that you can find at Disney World’s water parks.
If you’ve ever been to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon at Disney World, you might have come across an uncomfortable problem — finding a spot to leave your stuff and relax isn’t super obvious!
Water parks can be tricky, as they require you to leave some stuff behind while you enjoy them. Fortunately, the Disney water parks offer umbrella/seating areas that you can rent. These areas generally cost between $49 and $99 and include perks like umbrellas, towels, lounge chairs, and sand chairs.

Such a perfect day
We’re fans of this upgrade, as it’s wonderful to be able to leave your stuff in a dedicated area. You don’t have to worry about fighting for a spot since you’ve rented one, and you also get a nice, shaded area to have lunch and relax while you’re in between the fun of the slides and pools! The best part is that this upgrade is valid all day.
At Blizzard Beach, the polar patios are really pricey, but the Lodge Umbrellas are surprisingly affordable and can fit up to four guests. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
Disney World hotel perks now include water park admission on check-in day (at select times of the year), so since you’re saving money on admission, paying for this upgrade doesn’t seem so bad on the wallet. To learn more about these rentals, visit the Disney World website.

Honestly, that’s not too bad of a price.
Has Disney confirmed if or when they may or may not be bringing back the hotel perk they had last year?
15 years and more ago, before my husband passed away, he always bought for us and our son Florida Resident passes (3-4 days. For an extra $15, we could make our passes non-expiring. I finally used the last pass around 5-6 years ago. We live in South Florida, a 3 hour drive from Disney/Orlando, making single day tickets twice the price and making resident passes a waste of days and money.
You can still buy park hopper tickets, but I have no desire to waste my day leaving a park, getting into the car and having my son load my wheelchair into the car, travelling to another park, praying we find handicapped parking spaces and ECV’s available at the second park . That can run us up to 2 hours from gate to gate.
