One thing you should know about me is that I absolutely love sandwiches. I think they’re one of the best snacks and lunches, and are always there when you need them. When I can’t decide what to eat in Disney World, I’m usually going to grab a sandwich.
Deli Sandwich
We headed to Hollywood Studios to try out a new deli sandwich, and y’all, we might have found one of the favorite bang-for-your-buck lunches.
Over at Ice Cold Hydraulics, which is near the now closed Muppet Courtyard, which is being turned into Monstropolis, we grabbed the Deli Sandwich with Lays Chips and made with capicola, mortadella, salami, sliced provolone, and spicy aioli for $12.79.
Good size!
This is a pretty solid snack for $12, especially since a bag of chips can cost around $3. It comes pre-wrapped, and while we wish it were a little bit fresher, we enjoyed the low heat from the capicola and spicy aioli and the saltiness from the meats. The spice is very low and doesn’t linger, which we appreciated, and we enjoyed the size of the sandwich as well. We think we could easily share this or eat half and throw the rest in our backpack for later.
Look at those layers
When we spoke with a Cast Member, they explained that since PizzeRizzo closed (and yes, I’m still sad about it), Backlot Express has been super busy since it’s also a quick service location with familiar dishes. The Cast Member said they’re testing more savory options at Ice Cold Hydraulics to help with crowds and provide more options, and we’re here for it! The lines move fast for this stand, and since it was premade, we received it right away.
