You Won’t Believe What Taylor Swift Reference Pixar Just Posted

It all started innocently enough with some clouds in Taylor Swift’s newest video for “Opalite.” Then those clouds ended up showing off a countdown that quickly disappeared from the official Taylor Swift website. At that point, fans were 99.9 percent positive that a Taylor Swift and Toy Story collaboration was forthcoming.

Well, they were right because after Pixar teased the collaboration, an announcement was made that Swift would have a new song on the Toy Story soundtrack, “I Knew It, I Knew You.” Well, Pixar is still in its Taylor Swift era because it just posted something SO fun on social media, and Swifties will catch on to the references VERY quickly.

Pixar posted the following to both the Pixar and Toy Story social media accounts, and savvy Swifties will pick up on the references immediately. That’s because the images are all based on Taylor Swift album covers, including “Debut”, “Fearless”, “Speak Now”, “Red”, “1989”, “Reputation” (y’all, the toy snake!!!), “Lover” (Forky has us ROLLING), “Folklore”, “Evermore”, “Midnights”, “The Tortured Poets Department”, and “The Life of a Showgirl”. Incredible, right? Now, this is probably not a tease or hint for anything, but let’s just say Swifties are hoping that it means even MORE Taylor Swift news is coming soon (we’re still waiting for Taylor’s version of the debut album, after all, and now that she’s returned to her country roots for the new Toy Story song…well…why not?). This is likely just a fun little tribute to the artist, and we are here for it.

Meanwhile, we’re waiting for the release of “I Knew It, I Knew You,” which will be available on June 5th. So if you don’t hear from us when the single drops, we’re probably in a corner somewhere crying with the song on repeat.
