Something NEW just arrived at Universal Studios Orlando, and we got to be one of the first people to check it out! Let us tell you, this is going to be popular…it’s gonna be popuuular!

Wicked: The Experience
Universal previously announced that a NEW version of Wicked: The Experience would be coming to the park on October 31st, and we got to check out this new version. It’s filled with new treats, merchandise, and costumes worn in the movie Wicked. We were so excited that we had to share it with you — if you’re a Wicked fan, you won’t want to miss this!
When you start going through the experience, some of it does look exactly the same as it did before the Wicked: For Good sequel was announced. Areas like the meet-and-greet and the first rooms with costumes, most notably, hadn’t changed much — but they are still amazing. A lot of the costumes are replicas, but there are some SCREEN-USED ones in there, too!

Yes, some were actually worn in the films — INCLUDING the new Wicked: For Good ones in the glass case. They have a Wizard costume, a Madame Morrible costume, and a Fiyero costume — all of which were actually worn in the new movie. REAL celebrities touched those outfits!

So cool!
There is also a BIG new photo op where the bubble used to be located. This photo op is a yellow brick road, featuring a replica of Glinda and Elphaba’s dresses, as well as the Wicked: For Good logo. We loved this photo op spot, and may have posed a few times!

There was a lot of NEW merchandise available!

Wicked merchandise!
Like…TONS of merchandise!

More merch!
We were told that 80% of the merchandise is new — and there was a lot of stuff there that we hadn’t seen before.

It’s so hard to choose!
Every time we thought we saw it all, there was always more around the corner. This really is the place every Wicked fan dreams of experiencing!

MORE MERCH!
There were also some really cool displays out — like this set of Glinda’s side of the dorm room. You can see Elphaba’s hat on her bed.

There was also a replica of Glinda’s nightgown — how gorgeous!

There were also collectible Wicked pressed pennies!

Our tour also featured a variety of tasty treats and drinks that will be available around Universal Orlando, and we got to try a few of them! The first thing we had was the Emerald City Focaccia. This was quite good! The focaccia was flaky and crispy on the outside but soft and airy on the inside, and had great flavor. We love the sandwich filling too — particularly the pesto and the egg. The pesto looks great, with its super vibrant green color, and the egg really elevates it beyond a basic sandwich.

Next, we had the Yellow Road Shake, which was a dulce de leche shake. It was a total burst of caramel flavor when you take a sip. We loved how indulgent the first sip was, but after that, it started to get a bit TOO sweet! We recommend sharing this unless you have a major sweet tooth.

Yellow Road Shake
WOOOOO — WE LOVE THIS Wizards Elixir Shake! This is a mint cookie shake, basically, and it was delicious. The best part is the layer of cookies, which we can only describe as like a cookie/Oreo slurry. It’s incredibly easy to drink through a straw and pairs perfectly with the mint. We honestly started to think this is one of the best shakes we’ve had in a while.

Lastly, we tried the Strawberriful Waffle. Surprisingly, we weren’t super big fans of this one. The waffle wasn’t hard, but it was kind of a dry texture, and then the toppings were AGGRESSIVELY sugary. It could be a good snack for kids, but we liked everything else a little better.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Wicked: The Experience without the stars themselves. We got to see Glinda and Elphaba in a special spot for character meet-and-greets!

Glinda and Elphaba!
Like we said, it’s a Wicked fan’s dream spot!

It’s the stars!
Please note that if you choose to participate in the experience, some of the backgrounds here contain spoilers — you have been warned! For more Universal news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog.
