EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival has begun, and while the park is filled with gorgeous flowers, incredible topiaries, and booths that have lots of delicious options on their menus. How exactly can you get around it all?
With every new festival, there are A LOT of things added to EPCOT, and that means it can be a little hard to find your way around, even if you pick up a festival passport. It’s important to know what’s high on your list so you feel accomplished throughout your day, and if you want to be prepared well in advance, here’s how you can find your way around the park during this iconic festival!
This year, the Flower and Garden Festival runs from March 4th through June 1st, and with so much to check out, it can feel overwhelming. If you can’t get your hands on the festival passport until you’re inside the park, how can you plan ahead? We’re glad you asked, because we’ve got the resource right here for you!
We’d like to introduce you to the DFB Exclusive Festival Map! This is a completely FREE resource that we’ve put together for you after knowing what it’s like to wander around a festival confused, then be frustrated after the fact when you realize how much you missed. In addition to the free festival map, you also get a free download of all the menus for every single food booth and additional location, so you don’t miss a single thing!
This year, there are over 20 Outdoor Kitchens to experience, in addition to special items at Joffrey’s and additional locations. There’s even a NEW booth this year called Nectar Hosted by AdventHealth! However, there’s so much more to explore around the festival that has nothing to do with food, too, like the scavenger hunt — Spike’s Pollen-nation Exploration!
If you’re visiting the festival before Easter, you can also check out the Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt as well! This won’t run for the entire duration of the festival, only the beginning, and the prizes are pretty neat, so we say it’s worth the time it takes. However, if you don’t finish either scavenger hunt, you can still pick up your prize!
You can also experience the Garden Rocks Concert Series each evening, which features bands and musical groups local to Florida, and larger names from around the country. There are three showings each night — 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8 PM — and while they’re free with admission to EPCOT with a standby entrance, you can also choose to purchase a Dining Package if you want to ensure you’ll get a seat for a particular artist.
Don’t forget about all the merchandise available at this year’s festival! There’s so much to see and check out, but some of our favorites are all the festival pins, the Spike the bee shoulder plush, and the Spirit Jersey.
If you’re worried about spending too much at the booths, we recommend picking up a festival gift card and preloading it with the amount you’d like to spend (it can be any amount as long as it’s a minimum of $15!). If you have any funds left over, you can use this gift card anywhere in the Disney World parks.
We’ll be checking back at the festival nearly each and every day to bring you all the latest and greatest news, so stay tuned to DFB!
