NEWS: Reopening Date Announced for a Disneyland Attraction

We’ve got great news for Disney California Adventure fans who are planning to visit the park for this Halloween season!

Oogie Boogie Bash is a BIG hit each and every year, and we don’t think 2025 will be any different. One of the offerings we look forward to at each party is Villains Grove over at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. It’s a great way to meet some of your favorite villains in a slightly spooky way, but it does mean the trail has to close about a month in advance of the party to get it ready. Thankfully, we now know when the trail will officially be reopening!

Normally, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is a great spot for families to climb rocks, experience a ropes course, play on a tire swing, and head into the enchanted cave. It’s lots of fun for the whole family, and even when it’s been transformed for Oogie Boogie Bash, it’s usually still open during the day for guests to enjoy, it’s just got more of a Halloween theme!

Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

Currently, the trail is closed and has been since July 21st to make the change for the Halloween season. However, times are now showing again for August 15th, meaning it looks like that’s when the trail will be back open for guests to enjoy.

The first night of Oogie Boogie Bash is August 17th so it’ll be open two days before the party officially starts. You may be able to go in and get a sneak peek at how Halloween has taken over the trail before the party begins a few days later!
