It might still be summertime, but we’re gearing up for the Halloween season, and of course, that means a trip to Disneyland Resort to visit Oogie Boogie Bash!

The popular event is returning for 2025, and Disney has shared details on what sort of frightful fun we can expect at this year’s party. Mark your calendars for select nights from August 17th to October 31st, because a NEW Villain has joined the character lineup!

A NEW Villain is coming to Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure this year! Disney shared a video on their Instagram page teasing a new character, and we spotted one of Syndrome’s Zero Point Energy Gloves emerging from out of the fog. We’re not sure what capacity he’ll be featured in at Oogie Boogie Bash, but we’re excited for this rare character to join in on the frightful fun!

Maleficent will also be making a return to the party, based on the tree silhouette and green smoke featured in the first few seconds of the video! The caption also helps us out with a couple of hints:

“Where thorns creep in the shadows and heroes fade behind the darkness… Dare to guess which two villains are joining #OogieBoogieBash – A Disney Halloween Party?”

Oogie Boogie Bash is taking place on select nights from August 17th to October 31st in 2025. Tickets are on sale now — prices start at $139 per person and go up to $199 per person, depending on the date you choose to visit.

One of the most exciting parts of visiting Oogie Boogie Bash is getting to check out all the exclusive entertainment. This year, the fan-favorite Frightfully Fun Parade will be returning, and it will have two showtimes each night.

Another major draw for this event is the immersive Treat Trails. Each of these pathways includes spots where you and your group can go trick-or-treating, but they’re also home to Disney Villains! As you walk by and snag your candy, you can snap photos and interact with some very cool and incredibly rare characters. We can’t wait to see who else will be in attendance this year!
