We know there’s so much happening at Disney World right now that you might of forgoten about a new hotel that’s in the works. Lakeshore Lodge is a Disney Vacation Club resort that’s looking more and more put-together every day.
Located by Fort Wilderness, this resort is “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists” with nods to Pocahontas, Bambi, and more. Thanks to bioreconstruct on X, we got a new look into the construction, and we’re ready to book our resort stay now!
Lakeshore Lodge is set to open in 2027 with about 900 rooms. It’s righton the water, and since it’s a Magic Kingdom Resort Area hotel, we’re expecting it to have some sort of boat transportation to the parks.
The hotel looks huge! To give you an idea of the size, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has 867 rooms, and since Lakeshore Lodge is set to have 900, it’s likely around the same size.
It also looks like there will be cabins or villas! These spaces typically have multiple rooms for larger groups and are right on the water. Gorgeous! I’m seriously getting jealous already.
Here’s a closer look.
This is a look at the dock, which basically confirms that there will be some sort of water transportation to help connect the resort to other areas. We’re kinda obsessed with Disney transportation, so it’s no surprise this is something that stands out to us.
You know what else we’re obsessed with? Pools! We love hotel pools, and it looks like Lakeshore Lodge will have a lazy river, which is probably one of our favorite places to hang out. We also say you should try to spend some time around your resort so you can take advantage of its restaurants and pools. Disney hasn’t given us any idea as to what food is coming, but you can be sure that Disney Food Blog will be ready to try it all.

The Lakeshore Lodge looks amazing. We will certainly stay there and try things out. Do you of the restaurant plans for this resort? The Fort Wilderness area is void of adequate restaurants today with the makeover of Trails End into counter service a few years back. Trails End was one if our favorites. Who can forget their eggs Benedict made with BBQ pulled pork? It was a masterpiece!
900 more rooms? Was this due to the constant complaints of guests that there was too much room in the parks?
