Big changes are hitting EPCOT soon!

EPCOT!
Test Track is finally reopening on July 22nd, 2025, after being closed for over a year for a total reimagining! Disney has confirmed there will be no virtual queue when the ride reopens, but how will this opening impact other attractions in the park? We’re breaking it down here!
In case you missed the news, we can finally race with Test Track again! (Well, almost!) The iconic EPCOT attraction has gotten a total makeover, and we were recently able to ride the new version of the ride to check out all of the changes.

Test Track
We are really pleased with all of the changes we’ve seen, and new changes aren’t just coming to the ride! When it comes to skipping lines with the Lightning Lane system, Test Track will be moving to the First Tier of the system, and Soarin’ will drop down to Tier 2.

Soarin’
If you’re new to Lightning Lanes in Disney World, when using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can pre-book 3 lines to skip before your park day. If you’re a Disney World hotel guest, you can book 7 days in advance. If you’re staying off property, you can book 3 days in advance. When you’re booking in advance, you can choose one selection from Tier 1 and two selections from Tier 2.

Test Track’s Lightning Lane
Thanks to the switches, EPCOT’s Lightning Lane tiers look like this:
Guests may choose ONE attraction from the following Tier 1 list:
-
- Test Track
- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Guests may choose TWO attractions (or all 3) from the following Tier 2 list:
-
- Soarin’ Around the World
- Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival
- Journey Into Imagination with Figment
- Living With the Land
- Mission: SPACE
- The Seas with Nemo and Friends
- Spaceship Earth
- Turtle Talk with Crush

The final scene on Test Track!
Disney also confirmed that there will be no virtual queue when the ride reopens. Once it’s fully open, you can grab a Lightning Lane (if they aren’t sold out for the day), you can stand in the traditional queue, or you can hop in the single rider line. Lightning Lane Multi Pass is bookable for Test Track as of June 30th, 2025, for those heading to Disney World next month with longer resort stays.

The new queue for Test Track
Test Track will not offer a Lightning Lane Single Pass once it reopens. The Single Pass will stay with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. We are so excited to see this EPCOT attraction so close to reopened, and you can read our full thoughts on the new changes here.
