Let’s face it. Flying isn’t quite as fun or glamorous as it might have been in previous decades. Even after you pay for your airfare, you still need to decide if you want to pay extra for picking a seat, a better kind of seat, and checked luggage. Airplanes also tend to be crowded, and the whole experience is just not what we’d call a good time.
However, sometimes flying specific airlines can get you perks, especially if you’re a member of their rewards programs. Well, now, select Delta SkyMiles members can get a free perk…and it’s free FOOD, which you KNOW we’re excited about.
If you’re a Delta SkyMiles member with a Delta SkyMiles American Express card that’s either Blue, Gold, Gold Business, Platinum, Platinum Business, Reserve, and Reserve Business, you can get a FREE premium snack every time you fly at least 900 miles or further from now through October 31st. These free snacks include Nerds gummy clusters, Dots’ pretzels, and Pringles, which are typically considered premium snacks that the airline normally charges for.
To get your free premium snack, you’ll need to log in to Delta’s Wi-Fi on an eligible flight and click “Redeem Now” on the premium snack offer. When the flight attendant comes around for regular cabin service, show them that offer. Free Wi-Fi is available to Delta SkyMiles members on most flights. All others must pay a fee to connect.
Note that you can still get the free snack that Delta hands out, which includes those beloved Biscoff cookies, Cheez-Its, MadeGood Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bar, and Sun Chips Garden Salsa. For flights less than 349 miles, food and beverage service is no longer available.
We’ll keep an eye out for more airline perks and updates, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
