There are a lot of special events in Disney World.

Hello, Dreamers!

Some of them are more prominent and obvious guests, such as after hours parties like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Others though are quieter, like children having their Make-A-Wish trips and getting to take part in exclusive experiences, or one-day-only parades that celebrate select accomplishments. We just found out one of those special parades is on its way to Magic Kingdom THIS WEEK to celebrate something really amazing!

Have you ever heard a professional athlete state they’re going to Disney World or Disneyland after they win a big championship? Sometimes Disney even has exclusive parades to celebrate the entirety of an athletic team, where park guests can wave hello to them and cheer for their accomplishments.

And that’s what’s about to happen again, but for an athletic team that’s MUCH younger than who we normally see. But their accomplishment is no less impressive — the Little League World Series Championship has been around for 77 years, and for the FIRST time ever, the Lake Mary Little League team took home the win this past Sunday!

That’s right! On August 25th, the Lake Mary Little League team beat Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipiei in a 2-1 score with a bunt in the second extra inning, according to The Daytona Beach News-Journal, winning them the championship. And just like their pro-sports heroes, the team will now get to parade down the Magic Kingdom parade route to wave to fans and celebrate their win.

This one-time parade will take place this coming Thursday, August 29th at 1:30PM. If you’re in the parks and find yourself in the area, be sure to stop for a moment and cheer on these young athletes and celebrate their accomplishments with them!
