There’s a LOT coming to Disney World this summer, but something we’re really looking forward to experiencing in Disney Springs is none other than LEVEL99.
Level99 in Disney Springs will feature 63 life-sized physical and mental games and challenges that create “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment” for adults. There are currently multiple locations all around the United States, but this one will be the largest to date. We were so thrilled to be invited to the location in Tysons, Virginia (right around the D.C. area!) to check out what will soon be available in Orlando, and while we had a complete blast, there was one thing that surprised us specifically that you NEED to know about!
After experiencing LEVEL99 for ourselves, the best way we can describe it is that you’ve stepped into a sprawling playground for adults and teens, but instead of just playing games, you’re jumping INTO the game to be part of it! We purposely kept ourselves out of the loop before our visit and didn’t look up any part of what to expect, because we wanted to be surprised, and so we went into it thinking it would be an interactive floor room, or a walkthrough with different games as you went through, but it was SO much better!
We were really surprised, in the best way, by the variety of the games available and how many fun themes the rooms had! Some of the games are more physical (and some of them are NO JOKE, you’ve really gotta be ready to lock in), while others were more mental challenges, and were just as difficult (in the best way, of course). When we failed in a room, we found ourselves wanting to try over and over again to do better, but never in a frustrated way. It was so much fun to get to run, jump, swing around, and overall play in ways you don’t normally get to once you grow up.
Additionally, we loved that your progress is tracked in your LEVEL99 account, so no matter what location you visit, you can log in and continue your progress. Yes, even if it’s been months since you last visited, it’ll still keep track of your progress, which we think is fantastic.
We were also really impressed with the restaurant inside! This wasn’t “meh” food that will just tie you over and provide sustenance while you run and play — no, it was really delicious. It was all full-on restaurant-style food and genuinely impressed us. There was a variety of options, ranging from Bavarian Style Pretzels and Detroit Style Pizza, all the way to Birria Street Tacos and House Wagyu Burgers. There were also lots of drinks to pick from, with cocktails being the most popular drink option (that wasn’t a surprise to us, considering a lot of it is house-made!).
Overall, we think Disney Springs is a fantastic location for this experience, and it’s needed something like this for a while. Soon, you’ll have a spot that adults and teens can go to have tons of fun together while also being genuinely challenged, and also being able to enjoy a solid restaurant without having to walk out the front door. Some of the challenges are best completed with a group, while others are great for 2-3 players. Groups between 2-6 players are ideal here, so it’s perfect for a date night or outing with friends!
While there’s no official opening date for this spot in Disney Springs, we know it’s arriving this summer, and we couldn’t be more stoked. We’d like to say a huge thank you to LEVEL99 for inviting us to experience this incredible spot, and you can bet we’ll be some of the first in line when it opens in Orlando. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB, because we’ll keep you updated on this spot’s opening and all other Disney World news!
