Disney's Main Street, U.S.A. Has a Heart-Warming NEW Update

Buttery popcorn, horse-drawn cars, friendly Disney characters, and a cheerful marching band — Disneyland’s Main Street, U.S.A. is one of our (many) FAVORITE places to visit! After all, there’s a reason it’s the first thing you see when you walk through the gates. If those sights and sounds aren’t the happiest greeting in the world, we don’t know what is.

Speaking of Disneyland, did you know that there are some secret dedications hidden along Main Street, U.S.A.? Those beautifully-painted windows aren’t just nice to look at; they hold a special meaning!

The Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Josh D’Amaro, popped on Instagram to share some news. Recently, Disneyland Imagineers created THREE new windows on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland. The windows honor the Make-A-Wish Foundation and all wish kids from the past, present, and future.

If you didn’t know, Josh D’Amaro is on the national Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish America. According to D’Amaro, Disney has had a relationship with Make-A-Wish for over 40 years, and Disney has granted over 150,000 wishes (and counting!).

We also got a little backstage behind-the-scenes look at how these windows are made. Our jaws dropped when we saw how they turned out!

Disney sign painter Glenn Duncan shared that these windows mark the first dedication windows made for a non-profit organization.

Next time you visit Disneyland, make sure to look up to find these three new Make-A-Wish windows. They’re located on the second story of one of the Main Street buildings.
