If you’re headed to Disney World soon, you’ve probably been busy with a lot of planning, getting your packing list ready, and counting down the days.
You’ve probably also had to get reacquainted with the Disney Dining Plan if you purchased that, as well as staying updated on recent changes to the park pass reservations requirement and park hopping. So, you might not have had a chance to check the Disney World calendar yet. That’s why we’ve checked it for you to warn you about how Magic Kingdom is closing early soon.
On Monday, January 29th, Magic Kingdom is closing EXTRA early. If you look at the Disney World calendar, you’ll notice that the park is scheduled to close at 4:30PM. That means if you have plans to spend all day in the park, you won’t be able to. It also means you’ll miss out on the Happily Ever After fireworks that night. Now, if you have the Park Hopping option added to your ticket, you can go to Magic Kingdom that morning and then hop on over to another park before Magic Kingdom closes.
This is another example of why it’s SO important to check the Disney World calendar on the Disney World website or My Disney Experience app before your visit so you’re not caught off guard by these early closures. They don’t happen often, but they do happen from time to time, usually for a private event or something else that’s been scheduled in the park that evening.
Speaking of Magic Kingdom closures, did you know that the Country Bear Jamboree is officially CLOSED for an extended refurbishment? You can read more about that closure HERE.

The show is closed for now!
Of course, we try to keep an eye on all the closures and refurbishments, too, so we’ll let you know when we spot more early closures at the resort. So stay tuned to DFB for more.
