Being a Disney fan is a LIFESTYLE, you guys.

From nights spent at the movies and bingeing Disney+ to long days in the theme parks, there’s nothing quite like the dedication of a Disney fan. And after being a Disney fan for a while, you tend to develop strong opinions about things. Some of those opinions? Well, they’re things we’re all thinking but no one will say!

Why Does Disneyland Resort Get the “Good” Stuff?

If you’re a hardcore Disney World fan, you’ll know exactly what we mean! Disneyland Resort often gets more exciting snacks, more unique character meet and greets, and possibly, more interesting holiday celebrations than Disney World does.

A prime example of this is Oogie Boogie Bash, the Halloween party that takes place at Disney California Adventure. There you can meet a lot of rare villains and characters that we’ve never seen on the east coast, and it’s generally considered a “better” event than Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party by fans who’ve attended both.

It’s also pretty commonly acknowledged that Disneyland has superior churros and Disney World churros are stale and sad. WHY?!

Why is Disney World Sorely Lacking in Parades?

You know what Disney World needs? A nighttime parade! We’ve seen several versions of the popular entertainment offering, but it has been YEARS since once has been available in the parks and it’s simply a travesty. RIP to the Main Street Electrical Parade in Disney World.

And on top of that, there’s only one parade happening in Disney World currently. What happened to having parades in parks other than Magic Kingdom? Ever since the cavalcades started to disappear from Hollywood Studios and EPCOT after the pandemic, we’ve been missing the chance to spot our favorite characters riding by and waving at as. Just think what it would be like to have that on a grand parade scale again!

There Are SO. MANY. Animal Character Inconsistencies

Okay, can we talk for a second about some of the bizarre inconsistencies when it comes to Disney characters? For instance — Goofy and Pluto. They’re both dogs, but Goofy gets to walk on two feet and talk while Pluto is limited to the actions of a traditional pet.

Or Pete, the cat who antagonizes Mickey and friends? He’s VERY different than Minnie’s pet cat Figaro. And don’t even get us started on why some animals wear pants and others don’t — what’s going on there?

We know, we think about these things probably WAY too deeply. But we can’t help it! 😂

What’s With the Weirdly Impractical Souvenirs?

Disney makes some pretty fun souvenirs, but also some REALLY impractical ones. We all likely have at least one Disney mug in our collection that looks really cool but is unfortunately either impossible to clean or impossible to drink out of.

The same generally goes for Disney sippers and popcorn buckets, which are super cute for the pictures but leave us wondering what the heck to do with them when we get home. Does anyone else have a large collection just hanging out in their kitchen cabinets?

And all those sequined Minnie ear headbands are really cute, but it would be nice to have a pair of sparkly ears that didn’t try to rip our hair out every time we took them off, please and thank you. Those who get it, get it.

Disney Has Some SERIOUS Website Issues

If you’ve ever found yourself sitting hours in a virtual wait room to purchase an annual pass, make a Disney hotel reservation, or shop for Disney souvenirs, then you know that the Disney websites have some issues. We’ve experienced plenty of glitches in the past, and the websites can’t seem to handle large volumes of visitors at once.

But, we suppose we all form some kind of bond when we wait 7 hours online to buy annual passes? Is that the point? If so, we think that kind of bonding could be better accomplished by a group trip to Disney World. 😜

The Disney Apps Are Needlessly Confusing

And finally, let’s talk about My Disney Experience and the Disneyland Resort app. For two apps that are pretty much necessary when planning your vacations, they’re also pretty tricky to navigate. With hundreds of different buttons, screens, and features that aren’t labeled very well, we often have a hard time trying to explain the system to a newbie.

And if you’ve ever found yourself stranded in a theme park trying to figure out Genie+, dealing with Mobile Order glitches, or having the app shut down on you randomly…well, just know you’re not alone! We’ve been there too, friends.

So if you’re a Disney fan and you’ve got any of these things running through your brain — we’re right there with you! And even though we all share the same grievances, we’re sticking through it together because we’ve got an addiction to the mouse!
