Halloween still hasn’t come and gone yet, but we’re starting to see signs of Christmas and the holiday season in Disney World!
We got the full list of holiday treats to check out the other day, and we’re already starting to see some decorations show up around the parks. We spotted the tinsel stars on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios, and now some distinct decor is popping up in Animal Kingdom as well!
As we were heading out of Animal Kingdom today (gotta get out of the way of that incoming storm!), we spotted holiday decorations on Discovery Island!
First, there are some festive birds in nests being placed on the tops of buildings and some lampposts. They’ve got holly and ivy mixed in with their nests and beautiful gold details.
We also spotted the return of the holiday animal lanterns that remind us of the Merry Menagerie puppets that roam this area during the holiday season. If you look up along the rooftops of the stores here, you’ll spot a variety of festively decorated animals!
These lanterns light up at night, adding some special effects to Discovery Island and making it look even more charming. We can’t wait to see the whole area decorated!
We’ll keep checking for more holiday decor in the parks around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB! We’ve got you covered with the latest news and updates.
