How Your Galaxy’s Edge Droid Can Be Used at the Star Wars Hotel in Disney World

Even though many new offerings arrived at Disney World this week, there are still several things to come!

We’re anticipating the completion of the EPCOT transformation, watching the construction progress on the Tron coaster, and hoping to visit Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana ASAP. However, one thing that we HAVE experienced is Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (aka the Star Wars hotel) opened on March 1st, 2022. The new resort offers a multi-day immersive storytelling experience with interactive elements and a “port of call” in Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

While guests are in Galaxy’s Edge during this excursion, they may want to pay a visit to Droit Depot. Why? Well, it turns out that the Star Wars hotel hosts droid-racing competitions! If you build your own droid in Galaxy’s Edge and bring them back to the Starcruiser, you can enter a competition to race against other guests’ droids.

These droids can’t roam free in the theme parks (testing them out is only allowed in specific areas), but you are able to pilot them freely while aboard the Starcruiser.

So if you’re planning to stay at this new hotel, make sure to pack your little droid friend and bring it along with you! You may be running into a few of them on board during your stay.
