Disneyland spent most of last year closed due to the global pandemic. So its guests didn’t really get much of a 65th anniversary party, although Disney did release a ton of 65th anniversary merchandise.

Happy birthday, Disneyland!

Disneyland reopened several months ago, though, and today marks its 66th anniversary! And so far, we’ve celebrated with a very well-dressed caramel apple. But Disneyland also ended up throwing a party during a special cavalcade today!

The cavalcade was a birthday cavalcade and featured a LOT of Disney characters partying on Main Street, U.S.A. There was music…

…and dancing…err…twirling! Mulan and Alice were both on-hand for the celebrations, along with Captain Hook and Wendy.

One streetcar was loaded with celebration ribbons, pennants, and balloons. And look at all those characters! There’s Pluto, Donald, and Chip ‘n’ Dale!

Aladdin, Jasmine, and Aurora escorted the streetcar.

Even Genie dropped by to celebrate.

…followed by the star of the party himself, Mickey Mouse! His car was all decked out in birthday balloons!
