Even though we don’t have traditional character meet-and-greets and meals right now, Disney has been very creative when implementing ways for us to interact with our Disney friends!
Just this morning, characters returned to Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary (in socially-distanced fashion), and we’ve seen several fun cavalcades and distanced meet-and-greets in the parks. We speculated a few weeks ago whether or not characters might come around to visit the Disney World Resorts again, and then we spotted some friends over at Disney’s Grand Floridian last week! Today, we saw a few characters again, this time at Disney’s Riviera Resort! And they showed up in a cool ride!
When you see this RV pulling up at a Disney World resort, you know that you’re in for a treat! Decorated with colors and details from the “Fab Five,” it’s been bringing characters to the Disney resort hotels recently.
The only characters we have seen at the resorts recently are Pluto and Goofy and that’s just who we saw today at Disney’s Riviera Resort. They waved at their adoring fans from the hotel’s balconies.
Even though you can’t get close, these interactions are still so precious! We got a chance to chat with our friends for a few moments outside…
…and then we headed inside to have a closer look! Indoors, guests could take photos with Goofy and Pluto through the balcony door.
This offers a unique chance to get a little closer to the characters, which is something we don’t really get to do right now. We really enjoyed this fun interaction!
We’ll definitely be on the lookout for characters in the other Disney resorts, and hopefully, we’ll get to see more of our friends, like Mickey and Minnie! Stay tuned to DFB as we continue to report the news from Walt Disney World!
