We’ve seen Mickey and his friends in the holiday cavalcades and some character dining experiences, and we’ve waved at him as he stood on the Main Street, U.S.A. train station, but now there’s one more spot to find the mouse!

A few months ago, Disney shared that some of our favorite characters would soon be making their way back to Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the day has finally arrived!

Earlier this year, Chef Mickey’s reopened without any characters. But, today, December 16th, Disney characters have finally reappeared at Chef Mickey’s! OH, BOY!

…and Pluto, all dressed in their very best Chef outfits!

Could one of them win MasterChef or would this be more of a Nailed It type of situation? We’re not sure, but a Disney character cooking show is totally something we’d watch. Maybe we can get them to add ANOTHER new series to Disney+!

Much like what we’ve experienced at Topolino’s Terrace and Hollywood & Vine, at Chef Mickey’s the characters parade through the restaurant and stop for some quick but cute, socially-distanced selfies. It’s not quite the same as giving Mickey a big hug, but it was still fantastic to see our friends return to this spot.

Aside from Mickey & friends coming back, 3 NEW dishes are now being offered at Chef Mickey’s, so there are some fun, new things to enjoy here.

Chef Mickey’s now joins Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom, Garden Grill in EPCOT, Hollywood & Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Ravello in the Four Seasons Orlando, and Be Our Guest (with the surprise appearance of the Beast) in Magic Kingdom, in terms of available character dining locations in Disney World. Will more restaurants get added to the mix? We’re not sure, but we’re always looking for the latest updates. Stay tuned for more Disney news!
