It’s officially Christmastime in Disney World!
While we wait patiently for the 2020 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays to kick off on November 27th, we’ve been trying to go ahead and get into the holiday spirit. Well, we just got a BIG help from EPCOT — Christmas decorations have finally arrived! These decorations are a little late to the party as the other parks were decorated a few weeks ago.
The first of EPCOT’s 2020 decorations popped up today and we couldn’t be feeling more jolly about it!
When making our way to EPCOT’s main entrance, we noticed that we might be in for a treat today! Garland was hanging from the awning here to set the mood for a jolly visit.
Our walk to the World Showcase is what really got us excited though, because we could see from afar that the Christmas tree is up!
Isn’t it beautiful?! The fourth humongous Disney World Christmas tree has arrived in the parks and we’re very excited about it!
We love the “around the world” theme on this tree. The ornaments really fit the World Showcase!
We had to snap several pics (of course), it just looks so picturesque here!
After spotting the tree, we went off on an adventure to look for more festive decorations. Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe was decked out for the holidays in Norway!
The lampposts in Norway were covered in foliage and topped with red Christmas bows. These decorations really blend well with the theming of this country’s pavilion.
Even The Fjording got a holiday touch-up with these beautiful wreaths!
Over in Germany, we spotted wreaths in the building windows and garlands hanging from the archways. The whole pavilion was dressed to impress!
This whole area just looked like a lovely Christmas village!
In Italy, we noticed garland wrapping around the second-story balconies.
Via Napoli was also decked out in reds and greens, perfectly matching the restaurant’s color scheme!
The view inside The American Adventure was simply stunning! This room is gorgeous on its own, but the addition of the Christmas decorations make it look even classier each year.
Little garland touches were added above the entrances. Disney really pays attention to detail!
Out in front of the pavilion, there was a beautifully decorated, and very patriotic, Christmas tree!
Block & Hans got a touch of holiday magic as well, with a classic American holiday flower — the poinsettia.
Over in the France pavilion, we noticed several of these ornament diorama displays!
The first ornament features a model of the Eiffel Tower amidst a wintery landscape of Christmas trees.
Another ornament displays the Arc de Triomphe cloaked in snow!
This display may be our favorite — it’s filled with holiday treats! We want to try it all!
Like many of the other countries, wreaths were strung up on the lampposts. But one of our favorite details is the snowflakes hanging above the street! That’s as close as we get to having snow in Florida!
One country over in the UK, we spotted this lovely Christmas tea set!
Like the other pavilions, the lampposts were decorated — wrapped in Christmas garland. (The lampposts seem to be one of Disney’s favorite places to put holiday decor!) They match nicely with the landscaping in this area!
For our last stop in Canada, we noticed that the Mill Stage had gotten a festive makeover. This area will be used for performances during the Festival of the Holidays!
What a beautiful day to see the holidays arrive in EPCOT! We can’t wait to be back here soon!
We love seeing this holiday decor each year, so it was really exciting to walk around a decorated park today. Even though the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays is still a few weeks off and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party won’t even be a thing this year, we’re CERTAINLY feeling the Christmas spirit today. Stay tuned to DFB for more pics as Disney gears up for the most wonderful time of the year!
