Disney World has been going the extra mile to help out the Orlando community while the parks are closed!
Although they’ve already donated rain ponchos, excess food, and more, now Disney is teaming up with the Orlando Ballet to help deliver masks to the area!
Since the Disney Parks are closed and the performance season is temporarily suspended at the Orlando Ballet, the costuming departments from both companies are working together to help out the Orlando community.
At the moment, Orlando Ballet has been using its wardrobe team to sew face coverings for donation. To support this effort, Walt Disney World provided the organization with more than 400 yards of fabric and 2,400 yards of elastic to make 3,000 non-medical, non-industrial-grade masks. Disney continues to support the Orlando Ballet by also giving dance programming sponsorship, financial support, and more to encourage the arts.
