While we already think Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is one of the most romantic places to stay during a Disney World trip, it seems Riverside and French Quarter are stepping up their game even more for Valentine’s Day!

And while we already tried the new Mardi Gras Beignet over at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe, we’re heading back to the Big Easy to sample their Valentine’s Day Cupcake!
The Valentine’s Day Cupcake can be found at both Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at French Quarter and Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Riverside for $5.49. It’s a classic vanilla cupcake, with a berry mousse filling and berry-flavored buttercream.

Plus, the Valentine’s Day Cupcake is all dolled up for date night with heart-shaped sprinkles and a “love letter” fondant topper! It almost looks too pretty to eat…almost! 😉

The berry mousse in the center reminds us of strawberries and cream while the berry-flavor of the buttercream is much more subtle. For us, the filling definitely stole the show, but overall, the sweetness of the vanilla cake and richness of the buttercream balanced out nicely! And we hope you have a sweet spot for buttercream, because this little cutie has a TON of it!
