We have been eagerly awaiting an official opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and while we don’t have that for you YET, we do have some fun news from the Bayou!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has been under construction in Magic Kingdom since January 2023, and recently we have been spotting a lot of changes happening!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World
Thanks to an exclusive invite from Disney to tour Walt Disney Imagineering, we just got an in-person look at the new Tiana animatronic (along with some of the OTHER, never-before-seen character animatronics) that will be coming to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure when the new ride opens in Magic Kingdom and Disneyland later this year!
Magic Kingdom has A LOT going on right now! We are expecting lots of new things including a new Country Bear show called Country Bear Musical Jamboree and a new smelling experience coming to Storybook Circus.
We noticed something missing from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
And, of course, we’ve got Tiana’s Bayou Adventure coming right up! However, we noticed that Disney World has changed something major between the original concept art and today for this attraction…let’s take a look.
Okay, we are MAD at Loungefly.
No, really. Because we’ve been spending a TON of money on the new Disney Loungefly bags, and then even MORE pretty backpacks come out. Loungefly, why do you keep doing this to us? Well, we’re going to share some new Loungefly bags that just arrived online, and you’ll probably want ALL of them (and we won’t judge you for that).

Loungefly is a company they partner with often that keeps us on our toes with all their exciting new bags, and we also love seeing collaborations with companies like Stoney Clover Lane and Alex & Ani. Back in August, we saw Disney partner with American Girl Doll, and they’ve just unveiled a new part of their collection you HAVE to check out!
Meeting characters at Disney World is one of the most FUN activities that visitors can do.
Hollywood Studios After Hours
Sure, the rides are fun, but character interactions make those Disney World trips just a little more magical! Now, during the day, you can meet the usual characters, like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and more, but if you happen to attend an After Hours event in Disney World, you might run into some RARE characters you wouldn’t see otherwise. Well, we just went to an After Hours event in Hollywood Studios and met a TON of rare characters!
Words can’t express how excited we are to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in 2024.

This new ride will be in both Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, but Disneyland also has Tiana’s Palace, the new quick-service restaurant that opened up earlier this year. This begs the question — will Disney World be getting a Tiana-inspired restaurant, as well?

The restaurant officially opens to guests tomorrow, September 7th, but we were invited into the restaurant early to see it in all its glory. Come inside for the first official look at Tiana’s Palace!

We’re keeping our eyes peeled for all the latest Tiana’s Bayou Adventure construction news out of Disney World and Disneyland. But there’s another special Tiana-themed addition coming to Disneyland soon — Tiana’s Palace Restaurant, which will open on September 7th! We previously got some initial menu details for this spot, and we’ve been watching as it actively gets constructed in the park but now we’ve got SO many more details to share!
Disney is known for its storytelling, and that’s because they do an amazing job of weaving a tapestry of fairy tales with the familiar nostalgia of family, emotions, and connections.

We love revisiting these stories again and again, and we also love when Disney nods to one story within the context of another. Whether referred to as “Easter Eggs” or “cameos” or “secrets”, there is a certain in joy in noticing these in the films or the parks, and hopefully just as much joy as the Imagineers had in placing them there!
