Disney CEO Bob Iger previously commented about the possibility of an actors’ strike (before the strike was officially called), and he received backlash for his comments, which some deemed to be “out of touch” and “tone-deaf.” As the criticism began to spread, many Disney fans wondered if Iger would change his tune about the strikes. In Disney’s third-quarter earning call, the CEO once again commented on this situation.
Things could be CHANGING at the Disney Company in a big way soon.
Disney’s Haunted Mansion joined the list of films that have underperformed on their opening weekends, despite high production costs. But, there are other struggles at the Walt Disney Company that current CEO Bob Iger must deal with too. Iger recently shared that he is considering making some MAJOR changes to the company’s linear networks, and now it looks like some help has been brought in to advise Iger as things move forward.
Ever since he came back as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger has made quite a few big changes.
He instituted several changes in the parks, initiated thousands of job cuts, and restructured some of the departments to help get Disney back on track financially and with its fans. But could more changes be on the horizon? With Iger’s contract having just been extended and the company still fighting financial issues…it’s likely. And now we know a little more about which changes may come.
The Walt Disney Company is no stranger to lawsuits.
Having been on both sides of the courtroom, Disney has had to deal with countless legal battles in its day. But, if you had Toy Story 3 lawsuit on your bingo card, you’re in luck.
Disney has a lot of huge projects in the works right now, and some of you might be wondering WHEN they’ll all finally be finished! Never fear — we’ve got the answers.

Disney has been embroiled in a political battle with Florida legislators for quite a while now.
Disney filed a lawsuit against DeSantis and the new board of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (previously known as the Reedy Creek Improvement District), and later, members announced that the board would be suing Disney. The new board has taken action to increase its control over Disney, and now it looks like another legislator has taken a swing.
If you’re in the loop with Disney news, then you know that there’s a LOT going on right now.
Between changes coming to the theme parks, new movies getting released in theaters, and The Walt Disney Company’s legal battle with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, there’s plenty to try and keep up with. Disney recently released its latest earning report for the first quarter of 2023.
That report showed us a general idea of how the company is doing in terms of general revenue, streaming, and more. We also learned about how Disney Parks were doing financially, and it looks like Disney Parks are — in fact — doing VERY well.

CEO Bob Iger announced in February that The Walt Disney Company was implementing a plan to cut $5.5 billion in annual costs, and part of that plan involved about 7,000 job cuts across the company.
